Renowned house and techno producer Mr. G joins the No Idea's Original roster with four typically powerful house cuts. Colin McBean is a producer that needs little introduction. Leading the way, "Can't Stop?" sees Mr. G merge an infectious vocal with rumbling bass, raw drums, and a murky oscillating synth before "4am NYC Downlow (TS Version)" introduces a subtle melody as a cacophony of hats join a distorted soulful vox. Crunchy percussion and a moody hook then form "Make Me Mad" before concluding the package with a twisted reimagining titled "Make Me Dub!"

British 808 enthusiast Pierre Codarin delivers the third release on Huxley's No Idea's Original imprint with a trio of cuts. Having impressed the likes of Raresh, Radio Slave, Mr. G, Art Department and Rolandowith his PC record label's first outing this year, Codarin's productions are skeletal house grooves with the sort of raw energy and depth that Baby Ford has perfected. "D Express"'s intricate layers of percussion and warped atmospherics,
"Das Neff"'s trippy, fractured electro and closing track "Concrete"'s pounding, shuffled mechanics all serve to create a rich debut 12" from Codarin on NIO.

American producer Sage Caswell drops four quality house cuts for the second release on Huxley's No Idea's Original label. The LA-based artist's string of innovative productions, including releases on Spring Theory, Peach, Archie Pelago Music, and Waze & Odyssey's W&O Street Tracks, have garnered him a reputation as "one to watch." "Welcome Home" meanders forward suspensefully with zealous percussion and a rumbling low end. Crunchy snares and warped synths generate the absorbing "What Starts To Happen" before "House of Jeans" delivers cavernous kicks, echoing effects, and a looped vocal sample and "Leaving" combines shuffling hats with smooth chords for a mesmerizing conclusion.

180-gram 12". British DJ and producer Huxley launches his No Idea's Original imprint with two robust collaborations with US artist J.Phlip and a strident 808-workout remix from Clone's Vin Sol. "Everything has to have an 'original concept' these days, or so people in the music industry will tell you, and it's bollocks -- not least because no idea is original these days," says Huxley. "Just putting music out or doing parties because you want to and are passionate should be enough." Precedes label releases from the hotly tipped Sage Caswell, Kalyde, Pierre Codarin, and Huxley himself.
