Four track 12"-only EP. "If you like Oval or Mouse On Mars, or the releases on French label A.P.C, you'll love Hidenobu Ito. Not quite exploring the techno field, but digging rock n roll. Indulge yourself in experimental and dreamy listening electro lounge music. Influences range from the Paradise Garage to Dinosaur Jr and Ken Ishii and his music is a mixture of short wave radio and manga samples mixed with 'folk' style vocals. The most important thing is that the samples reflect his memory and sentiment." Limited stock.

1999 release; last copies, reduced price. "Who is this young man who can throw together fragmented beats, white noise and of sonic disturbance and make it sound so sweet ? Well get ready to wonder again, because Hidenobu is back with an album that carries on where the E.P. left off and establishes the enigmatic producer's claim as perhaps the most exciting sonic scientist to emerge from Japan's burgeoning dance scene. Bizarrely titled the Bedroom In The Cage (apparently Ito's bedroom really is enclosed within a huge wooden cage) the debut album from Hidenobu Ito blends harsh electronic noise with shards of sweet melody, cracked abstract beats with walls of distorted guitars and unidentifiable found-sound. All-in-all, 19 tracks of pure, un-cut musical invention, taking in every style you can imagine and a few you can't as well. Hidenobu Ito is a ex-trash rocker who used to like nothing better than trashinging venues in Godzilla-style assault, but he's also the childhood piano prodigy who fell in love with house, techno and electronic ,music of all forms and still holds a deep love of traditional japanese art."
