This is the second single from DK7's album The Great Hunger, remixed by pros. DK7 are Swedish/Irish DJ/producers Mark O'Sullivan and Jesper Dahlbäck and this is a great taste of what's to come. Lifelike takes chunks of Mark's vocal and lays it over a French-electronic disco backing with solid builds. Arveene & Misk strip it back, letting the fat electro-flavored groove do all the work. Blackstrobe keeps it dark, heavy and bleepy, and Tomas Almgren goes off on a pop/disco excursion.

"The debut album from Jesper Dahlbäck and Mark O Sullivan. Jesper Dahlback was a founding member of Stockholm's Globe Studios with Adam Beyer, before recording prolifically for the highly acclaimed Swedish label Svek. Most recently Jesper is responsible for remixing Tiga's current single 'You're Gonna Want Me,' and producing much of the forthcoming Tiga album, including the massive club hits 'Pleasure from the Bass' and 'London's Burning.' Mark O'Sullivan, has a long history writing and producing music in his native Ireland, and set up his own King Syndrome Sounds label in 1999 as a platform for his dub oriented Mighty Quark project.'"

"Colder return with the exceptional new album Heat. The album features slick production, harking back to the style of PIL and Suicide yet with an unmistakable 21st Century sound. Where his 2003 Colder debut, Again, proffered seedy seduction through bottom-heavy Can-style hypno-grooves, on Heat he breaks down the rhythms into minimalist Joy Division machinations. He's still speak-singing like a street hustler breathing inappropriately on your neck, but there are flickering signs that his blood is starting to thaw: the percussive rumbler 'Downtown' is a playful nod to Suicide's zombie rockabilly, while the mournful Tindersticks-esque ballad 'Fade Away' marks an emotional breakthrough: the sound of a statue's stoney eyes starting to tear."

2nd album, following Afro Finger & Gel on Tigersushi. "Mu is renowned US-house producer Maurice Fulton and his wife Mutsumi. They met and fell in love, he moved to Sheffield, where they are both now based, and the rest as they say is history. Maurice is back with the next Mu album which picks up where last year's debut left off. 'Out Of Breach (Manchester's Revenge)' has spawned this underground anthem in the making. 'We Love Guys Named Luke / Paris Hilton' (OPR76) perfectly encapsulating the twisted genius of Mu and is already seeing major chart action by a diverse array of DJs from Theo Parrish to TrashPreviously unreleased remix of 's Erol Alkan."

Original UK 2CD version. "Californian born American native Geoff McIntire aka Dempsey finally releases his debut album. The album is split over two CDs, the 'Sunrise Side' recorded with Kieran Hebden (Four Tet/Fridge) and the 'Sunset Side' recorded by Trevor 'Playgroup' Jackson. Dempsey delivers a skilled songwriter and unique personality, premiered over tripped up folk, acid loops, smacked out guitar riffs and melancholic strings. The album also features Fridge members Sam Jeffers on drums and Adam Ilhan on bass."

"Trevor Jackson's (aka Underdog (Source)) Output Label delivers its biggest artist album since Four Tet/Fridge. Bristolian James Lucas is described as follows... picture Boards of Canada jamming with a pre-fame/My Friend Cubillas era Badly Drawn Boy around an electric heater. Self recorded and self produced, Out of the Wires is muted misty acoustic melodies rippling over backward sounds, stutters, shimmers, family dogs barking and his own words."

"High On Tech is best described as retro-futurist electro-pop, featuring the talents of Suzie Sonovac on vocal duties coupled with the skills of MC Mike. "Breasts Death and Puppies" on the flipside drives along as a haunted, minimal house track with a dirty growling b-line attached in the 'Version'. 'Version' is also included."

Originally released in 2000, now available at domestic pricing. "Ever since their debut release in 1997, Output Recordings have continued a path of musical innovation and an agenda of changing the musical landscape. Through the combined vision of label instigator Trevor Jackson and a broad roster of challenging musicians (Fridge/Fourtet/Gramme/Sonovac/7 Hurtz), Output have developed a diverse range of talents that recontextualise the electronic landscape. Channel 1 brings together some of the finer and wider moments of a vital catalogue including Fridge's 'Anglepoised', Fourtet 'Calamine', Gramme's 'No Wave', LB's 'Superbad' and Black Strobe's 'Innerstrings', all combining to make for a deeply resonant listen and guide to the fringes of electronic experimentation.

"Awesome limited edition (750 only) EP from Icarus, signed to Output by Fridge/Four Tet's Kieren Hebden. EP comes in a deconstructed artwork, each sleeve is individual. Icarus combine minimalist/luscious soundscapes with avant drum'n'bass and will appeal to fans of Photek/Source Direct/Zan Lyons/Fridge/Squarepusher/Third Eye Foundation."

"On a darker tip, this album will definitely appeal to fans of German minimal techno. On par with labels like Chain Reaction, Din, Basic Channel. A limited edition of 500 each of vinyl and CD. The theme of the album is a hallucinatory fever set of a virtual tropical island. Follow the infection, early symptoms, and final manifestation." Written and produced by Mike Silver, 7 tracks, no further info seems to be available.

"Limited edition of 1000 only. The single features the original track, an extended version blended into a frenzy of beats and analog melody. New version finishes with a twisted 4/4 house groove. 'March Electronicque' is darker, just raw beatbox and minimal fx."

"Sonovac are the London-based brother and sister duo Mike and Suzy Silver." Weirdly glitchly outsider apres-rock, a bit like the most disjointed elements of recent Stereolab. Abstract, yet accessible and friendly. 27-minute EP, packaged in a minimal/textured glow-in-the-dark sleeve. Limited to 500 copies in each format.
