"Jake Fairley (b. 1977) has been making techno music in his home town of Toronto, Canada since the late '90s. He has released many records known for their original and rocking style for labels such as Kompakt, DumbUnit and Sender. Touch Not The Cat is Jake Fairley's first full length release in over two years and brings together and draws from every project and release from throughout his career; yet still taking his music to the next level. Many different ideas and sounds are brought together for the first time to create an album that is extremely catchy, danceable and unmistakably Jake. His trademark straight and dirty beats are pitted against the shuffle riffery of T. Rex, the tense monotone of Lou Reed and the distorted pop of The Misfits. His music is the happy combo of vintage Suicide and plugged in Pyschic TV."
