"Since his remix for Radio Slave's 'Grindhoude' on Rekids, Terence sees in 2008 his sound developing and pushing limits to other soundscapes. A new energy and direction emerge in his music in terms of atmospheres, grooves and darkness. Pure and true sounds with the warmness of machines to deliver a unique artistic 12". To announce the future release of his third album in February 2009, Terence brings through Fiction One, four brand new tracks with each a very special soul. Balanced between club and hypnotic mood , Fiction One introduces his new sound design. Mental and deep frozen elements are the key points of this EP. 'Drive the Bass' is bringing a great groove with a sudden line for a perfect peak time. 'Flame' will surprise you by its deep atmosphere and will probably help you to land after the high tension created by 'Gravity 5'. 'Magnitude Zero' is a balance between all the tracks and perfectly closes the EP."

"Fixmer/McCarthy is the parallel music project of Terence Fixmer in association with the legendary voice of Nitzer Ebb. A side's 'Look to Me' has been remixed by Xenia Beliayeva with the help of his partner in crime André Winter. Xenia delivers here for 'Look To Me' an amazing and fantastic remix. It's funky and groovy as hell with stunning compressed sounds. This remix would be described in French as 'De La Pure Bombe!' Or in German as 'Hammer!' No other word for this perfect remix. The B-side's Kiko is a surprising producer; it's always a surprise as we never know how it's gonna sound; always really well produced, his remix of 'And Then Finally,' brings a sequence to move your body with full effect. Includes as well the instrumental version of the Xenia Beliayeva remix."

"After his last release on Datapunk rec, Terence continues his next step on his own label Planete Rouge for a 3 track record. 'Out Of My Head' -- sounds like a soundtrack written to support 'The Spleen' poem from Baudelaire. The track is mind-blowing, slow and drives you to some paranoid distressing state of mind. You'll feel the coldness sliding on your neck. 'Mental Science' -- based on the old school techno direction from the '90s, influenced by artists such as Blake Baxter, Joey Beltram and labels such as R&S. Terence brings here a dark atmosphere, like a storyboard for a suffocated breath movie, this track is slow and mental as the title describes it by itself. And to conclude the EP, 'Crash For Fun' -- this track starts with an introduction which brings lots of pressure to finally explode on a groovy and energetic acidline melody."
