Pro-Tez delivers proper moody, dubby, acid-vapored house jams from veteran Moscow DJ Sapunov under his Sapurra alias. Sincerely lush and intimately narrated Detroit house music with a timelessly modern deep touch. A personal tribute to cheese and a really well rounded EP. Vinyl only.

"Prime time action on Pro-Tez. Label lords SCSI-9 launch their new Symbols EP with two smokin' tracks. 'R7L20' is the more housy of the two, with triolish percussion arpeggios and a jump bass. 'E )' on the flip side comes more techno, with a dark vocal sample from a Cologne classic and pushing forward snare and hihats. Both tunes exalt the floor, so be careful with this 12"!"

"Modul is a new debut from the Pro-Tez stables. After co-ops and spots on compilations, Modul's first 12" is a house stomper! The title track explains with a funky but epic touch why 'Red Square' has got its name, featuring strings and guitars. 'Citade' is a deeper experience with a smooth vibe and a playful bass line that will keep you on your feet dancing into the sunrise. 'Hot Shots' kicks off with a funky sampledelic house groove, perfect for the packed floor."

"Pani Chacha is Her Highness the Duchess of the southern party. Inspired by the drink that is lovingly regarded from Georgia to the Balkans, Korablove created a house tune with a drunk brass section, thus presenting an irresistible dance tune for the Gipsy autumn. Stripped down and extended with a SCSI-9 remix on the B-side. Bottoms up!"

"The 10th vinyl on Pro-Tez is an anniversary compilation with new tracks from the label's main acts: SCSI-9, Korablove and Mujuice, but also introducing Yuka as a promising newcomer on Moscow's house scene. Dance, but not just tool, a soulful and warm compilation. The Russian word 'sputnik' originally means 'companion' -- and with solid tech house, magnificent deep and touching tunes this Sputnik 1 compilation will be exactly that: a musical companion, which you will never want miss again."

"Pro-Tez Records continues its work, being the portal for young Russian talents to the vinyl world. In its ninth release Pro-Tez proudly presents indie diva Masha Era in a handy triple pack. Masha's winter tale will put you on a journey between Moloko and Matthew Herbert. The original version comes with an enchanting vocal tune that will never let you go, combined with a strong guitar part. The remixes from SCSI-9 and Korablove explore the dancefloor, spanning the arrangements from Russian Deep to the hits of Swayzak."

"Sergei Timoshov and Denis Kobushev formed in 2006 in Stavropol as a result of almost 10 years of DJing and making bedroom tracks using all kinds of gear. With a touch of organic beauty, their electronic music is so well produced, that one is surprised it is their 1st release. Cold Send -- the debut EP from De:Se will move and mesmerize you. Prepare to be inspired by the deepness and melodic harmony of the new amazing Russian duo De:Se."

"The seventh installment of the Russian-American label Pro-Tez Records is made by an up-and-coming Russian artist Korablove from St. Petersburg, with his two-track vinyl debut representing the signature deep tech sound of Russia. The A-side 'Narcissus' flourishes glockenspiel-like melodies over deep chords and a groovy irresistible rhythm, creating the atmosphere of a bright spring morning. On the flip, 'Yesterday (You Made Me Feel)' imposes quite the opposite mood of the troubled late night, with an urgent bassline and percussion, but unexpectedly ethereal vocals performed by Dmitry Pervushin. And while 'Narcissus' is quite uplifting despite its deepness, the B-side will undoubtedly touch and move any dancefloor and make it go emotionally mental. This is the record not to be missed by the fans of Russia's deep electronic scene."

"Overview: The sixth installment of the U.S./Russian Pro-Tez label is a three track Flight Mode EP by label bosses SCSI-9. Now Russia's oldest minimalheadz release an EP on their own label -- for the first time. Flight Mode presents three tracks made during their recent journeys over Europe and South America. Created somewhere between Florianopolis and Subotica. The title track truly starts off with full-speed flashing one back to famous tunes. More dubby but with some edge lines on 'Walking Through The Fog' will keep fans spiced up with clicks and synths. Free from everyday workout, a bit apart from the usual Kompakt-esque sound, but these works retain a distinct lyrical touch, which made SCSI-9 loved for -- especially 'Submoon,' featuring a deeply arpeggiated piano solo. Due to the small print-run, this record may soon become a phonographic rarity. A must for all SCSI-9 fans."

"This piece of artwork can be easily considered as something close to modern micro-baroque. Two Dumb-Unit heads from Moscow play street-organ and forecast the future. While being full of warm and cozy dreams they call to the hide-land you've never been thrown to. The three track EP is very deep and dreamy. It sounds like a late night drifting through the big city, a bit melancholic and nostalgic. A treat for the home listening and cool gatherings."
