The Ratio? label says: "Some think freedom comes with a price, others say freedom is a prize. Then you have people who claim 'the best things in life are free.' It takes up quite some time and effort, or better yet -- 'work,' to sort out answers to these questions. One might feel cornered by such issues. David Olivier Nerbl aka D.O.N. & Dr. San Proper wrote and recorded a sarcastic song last summer which might give some relief. If not, check out Jacques Renault's remix. One love for freedom."

Melon met two old friends from Amsterdam lying on the streets of Berlin who gave him an old fashioned tape. Out of respect for his (now homeless junkies) friends, he borrowed an old tape deck and gave it a listen. He really liked the track, but unfortunately he never found his friends again. After playing it for months and getting massive feedback, the decision was made to put it out, complimented by a remix from California house legend Doc Martin.

San Proper whips up an enchanting vocal house-track entitled "Shook" with a specific "Proper-feel" of groovin' synth-bass melodies, straight-up funkin' house-beats and a message which invites you to shake your behind. Side B contains the track "Buckle Up & Ride," another instant dancefloor classic which will take us out for a spin around town as we drive down memory-lane to honor some of Chicago's heritage.

In 2006, Melon started his Ratio? music with the first part of Four Seasons and now almost 5 years later, it's time to complete the series with the second and last part. Features two seasonal tracks "Fall" and "Winter," with a remix by TJ Kong & Nuno Dos Santos driven by a killer bass line and one by San Proper who takes us deep into a mid-winter night and tells us that it's never too hot or too cold to party.

One-sided 12" featuring an epic Sascha Dive remix, on Melon's Ratio? imprint. Melon's original version of "Money" has been saved for his forthcoming debut album. In the meantime, Sascha Dive already delivers a 15-minute long rework that is a pure trip into deepness and can't be kept a secret from the world for much longer.

Ratio? invites Marco Gegenheimer from Barcelona to be the first artist to do a full 12" on the label. Two tracks of pure deepness and emotions have been delivered. "21:4 (The IPS Prayer)" is all about losing that one love and is a sentimental piece of house music, while "Mystical Crossings" is all about the mystical and divine aspects of life.
