Celebrated Glasgow-based singer and songwriter kitti presents her euphoric, soul-stirring debut album Somethin' In The Water on Rebecca's Records. Driven by the gorgeous, uplifting sound of a full band complete with horns and strings, Somethin' In The Water puts kitti's extraordinary vocals front and center. She delivers a soaring jazz-blues meditation on unrequited love, in a similar vein to the empowering feminist stylings of Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, or Chaka Khan. Simultaneity (同時性) is a musical attempt to represent a journey of a spirit which seeks warmth, contentedness and ultimately the answer to his question of existence. The word "simultaneity" is a technical term from the theory of special relativity representing two distinct events happening at the same time. This fluidity is embodied in the musical exploration of Ari Tsugi. Comprised of mostly self-taught musicians, the soundscape is a unique melting pot of UK Jazz scenes and the raw energy that comes from psychedelic rock. Produced and mixed by Glasgow-based musician Sam Bancroft (Starsky-Rae) alongside engineer-producer Villus Vilo Jokubaitis, the album features offerings from Liam Shorthall and India Blue (Azamiah) alongside the original Ari Tsugi trio -- Clement Gaud, Joe Weisberg, and Mashu Harada -- with keys from Angus MacDonald being added later down the line. Now consisting of eight members, including bass, vocals, flute and cello, Ari Tsugi have had multiple DIY residencies in Glasgow, London, and Epinal (France). They have toured through Europe, playing at various jazz bars and small underground venues, always playing one rehearsed set and one improvised set with a guest musician. They have showcased their talents at festivals including Karakumai Festival (Lithuania) and Tranzl8tor Festival (Germany). Also featuring Iona Bermon, Mateusz Sobieski, Peter Konecny, Ben Boswell Jones, Finn Rosenbaum, and Lene De Montaigu.

Azamiah have emerged from Glasgow's bubbling jazz scene with their debut album, the beautifully transportive and soulful In Phases. Centered around India Blue's expressive and ethereal lead vocals, the twelve track LP takes the listener on an immersive journey that draws inspiration from the sounds of the natural world and the urban rhythm of the city. "Night Woman" encapsulates the gorgeous sonic worlds that are the essence of Azamiah's debut, as grooving bass, gentle, breezy brass and sublime percussive embellishments forming a truly dazzling aural experience. Headed by respected Glasgow-based producer, composer and DJ Rebecca Vasmant, Rebecca's Records is a family run imprint that aims to platform and support female-led jazz, as well as shining a spotlight on Scottish jazz. Glaswegian musician, producer, DJ and curator Rebecca Vasmant announces her debut LP With Love, From Glasgow, showcasing the breadth of the incredible jazz talent the city has to offer. Having made a name for herself with a residency at Sub Club, Rebecca took the lead in curating the first live Jazz showcases at the venue, also running a popular record fair with the venerable venue and a spot on BBC Radio Scotland and Worldwide FM. Rebecca also airs this facet of her irrepressible musical passion at key events like Worldwide Festival Sete, Glasgow Jazz Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Jazz Cafe London, Kasheme Zurich, Brilliant Corners, Casper Montenegro, and the BalticSoul Weekender, and a new residency at Ronnie Scott's as part of the "Panro" collective. While promoting and touring in over 22 countries constantly over the last five years, Rebecca has honed her craft on production projects which feature world class musicians from The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and more, her talents are not only in spinning records, but in composing, producing and performing. Though known for its rich musical heritage, Glasgow is not a city perhaps synonymous with jazz. However, on With Love, From Glasgow this is all about to change, as Rebecca and her cohort of hand-picked musicians set out to change people's opinions. Rebecca explains: "There is such crazy wealth of talent in this city of Glasgow and I wanted to make an album that helped to demonstrate this and which captures my own love and passion for deep and spiritual music. This album highlights just some of the exciting things that are happening here in Scotland and it's been a real honor and pleasure working with the hugely talented musicians who came together to collaborate in such a free and beautiful way.
