Argentina's dancefloor legends DJs Pareja together with Cologne's most recent jackmaster Bryan Kessler present Detona EP. "Detona" opens with a rhythm that swallows everything around, relentlessly pushing. "Shu Shu" is where things get dirty and hi-hats are unleashed like flying knives. Also take a listen to the flip side, where household rhythm smith Mijo remixes "Shu Shu" in his inimitable style. And then, the cherry on top: "Ramp And Rage". Just release this train of a track in front of a 4am audience with a proper sound system, and let it do its thing. Dog barking samples included.

Sanfuentes Records has been offering different overviews of Latin América. Visiones EP, Sanfuentes's new EP, reflects on the continuously ongoing cultural cross-pollination happening in Latin América, a phenomena that brings unity and topples political, social, and spiritual borders. Through three original tracks, Sanfuentes shows a very integrating vision, one that seems particularly necessary for the current times. Expanded with the remix by the North American producer LA-4A -- the more acid/techno oriented alias of Ambivalent -- to the track "Derecho Contra El Muro" ("full on against the wall"), arguably the most political track in the lot.

Argentina's Rous, who currently lives in Mendoza, delivers music with confident brush strokes of synthesizer magic over titillating classic analog sounding drums. The raw and intense landscapes of a snowy Patagonian lake island and its surroundings - the place where he spent a month with no communications or technology - shaped La Púrpura Del Ocaso ("The Purple of Sunset"). In Rous's words, "this recording expresses my intensity while growing up, my experience with masters, the natural destinies that the mountain put in front of us and the ecstasy we feel at the parties with our South American family and friends."

Mijo, aka La Royale, is one half of Moon Runner. It's been a busy couple of years for Mijo. Countless remixes, productions, tours as well as taking care of his record labels, Disque Discos and Electrique Music. Title track "Próximo Berlín", has become one of the head tracks of the new Latin American techno sound, one that Mijo helped define with his side projects Moon Runner and La Royale. "Próximo Berlín" has a very impressive remix from Rex The Dog, who delivers a stunning, seven-minute long, techno rollercoaster. "Cheaptron" and "Circulate" bring simplicity and magnetism that shakes bodies insistently.
