Amsterdam duo Know V.A., aka Feico De Muinck Keizer and Marjin Brussaard, step up with four tracks of dystopian club futurism inspired by their native gabber parties as well as hardcore, bubbling, hardstyle, and Atlanta rap. The EP sets off with "RIP", a nearly 10-minute epic of splintered grains and distressed, slowed-down bubbling rhythms. "Just To Hurt" lurks in with equal doses of dancehall rhythms, ice-y synths, and skittering alarms. "Xeno" opens with a murky riff reminiscent of ATL rap's most prominent producers. "Endless" mixes grimey detuned squarewave leads, melancholy vocal synths, and distorted bass.

Based in Tampere, Finland, Inner finally gets a well-deserved first international release. "Pain" sets the atmosphere as an ice cold blend of futurist RnB and grime with a golden era Timbaland sensibility. "Crystal Ember" furthers this development with equal doses of south London grime melodics and feminine pressure. "Closa" presents a thoroughly warped flex where staccato subs make your eyeballs vibrate as ice-y staccato synths double up. Certified emotional banger "Roll Out" continues the staccato rhythmics as square-wave melodics and hums are accompanied by long detuned grime bass streaks.

Immortality EP is Signal Life lynchpin Desto's first outing in over three years. The EP is founded on the stark aesthetics of footwork paired with Desto's signature pitch-dark brooding melodies. "Flames" and the title track expand furthest from the footwork realm towards a wider field of electronic music. "Pulse Cathedral" continues the percussive explosions of footwork with staggering syncopation. The fully Chicago drum programming and the apparent lack of jungle breaks (albeit a clear presence of jungle feel) combines the energy of both genres without falling victim to cheap imitations.

Dislocation takes from a multimedia art piece built around a distinct aesthetic. Based on a three-hour sound piece TWWTH originally composed for the similarly titled exhibition by visual artist Jesse Auersalo at The Hole in New York City. It builds on Auersalo's concepts: sex portrayed in objects, the interplay of cold-cut industrial design and intuitive and eerie blur. It also builds off TWWTH's past releases, continuing to redefine the boundaries of what modern raves could sound like. Dislocation offers a dislocation of the musical themes TWWTH has been known for, spun into a darker, format free, concept-first universe.

The Helsinki-based Signal Life label relaunches with Chameleon Crystals Vol. 1 by Fang Lilies, the first record in a two-part debut for the artist. Pulverized synths from the grime world, drum machine rhythms predating your predominant Dirty South sound banks, and strobe seizure syncopations. The synths of "Echelon" flow seamlessly into the liquid ambiences of "Atmospheric Oceans," the fringe-techno-drive of "BK Stomp," and the Memphis-x-London mesh of "Color Crop." Imposing color sleeve-shot by Finnish fashion photographer Mikko Ryhänen; creative direction by Matti Pentikäinen (Twwth). Includes video for "Echelon" directed and produced by award-winning director Taito Kawata of Cocoa.
