BAL 5000 out of Budapest, Hungary, presents For Kid Caprice EP. His sound ranges from disco to techno, tastefully touched with indie and Balearic. The title track, "For Kid Caprice" heralds a soulful bass line, easy house stabs, light hearted keys, gently swung percussion and sparkling disco licks. "Dub Version" steps the energy up a notch with its growling lead and steady lathered groove. "Farewell My Lovely" is melancholic yet uplifting, melodic lines with rolling bass giving it a live synth-pop feel. "Wake Up! Its Monday!" is bouncing and joyous with a chunky bass at its core.

Dirt Crew sublabel Spiel returns for the first time since 2014 with the Cookies EP by Good Guy Mikesh. "Whim" is the steady builder; spacious and very much alive with sliding leads and layers of analog synths that sparkle. On "Why Not," the bass slips and slides, dancing with the top line over a palette of plucked strings and tuned percussion. On the joyful "Cookie," bouncing arpeggios lead the charge in the break, rising before giving way to euphoric synthetic strings that lead back into the elated refrain. "Corone" hints toward Mikesh's disco history, boasting a burly bass and funk all its own.

Spiel presents one from Swiss indie dance/electronic duo Mercury. "In & Out" is an irresistible dancefloor monster built around a very cool vocal sample, and the dark and cold electro feel of this track combined with the warm, soulful vocal makes this a very special house tune. Mercury picks up the tempo and shows us their more techy side on the bouncing "The Session." The haunting vocals and sharp techno beats make this a real banger of a track. The slower and darker "Hommage" gives tribute to the 808, 303 and 909 machines, in a true Detroit electro kind of way.

Dirt Crew sub-label Spiel presents brand-new artist Clancy, who presents here his debut EP. You'll not only find your deep house here, but also some more genre-crossing styles of music in the indie dance and nu-disco field. Clancy is a young producer from Manchester now living in London that only just started to break through. He already did a remix for Little Dragon that got a lot of praise and is close to reaching 100K plays on his Soundcloud page. His music is very uplifting and a great mix of UK house and more nu-disco-like flavors. There's also a remix by Norwegian disco master Prins Thomas who transformed the original into a stellar space anthem.
