"Presented here is one of the most rare Zamrock LPs you'll ever encounter. Though Dots was recorded at Zambia's Malachite Film Studios in 1978 the full-length never saw a release of any kind in any format until 2020. That's when Strawberry Rain worked with Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters to do a full restoration and remastering for inclusion in an 8 LP Zamrock boxset. Remaining copies of this recently rediscovered Zamrock gem are now available as the Fireball's Dots is issued for the first time ever as a stand-alone release."

"Melanie & Me was a promotional tool used for a movie shot by director Chris Fitchett in Australia in 1975. Pressed in an edition of 100 copies, it was handed out to people who partook in the film, and who attended the only screening to date in Sydney. Used as the background music for the entire movie, this was actually the second version of the soundtrack, recorded last minute by Simon Jones as Chris wasn't happy with the original. The result had become one of the most sought after releases from the Aussie scene, and one of the most obscure records from the region as well. Beautiful psychedelic folk rock with a combination of male and female vocals, fuzz guitars and organ solos, this won't disappoint."

"LP version comes in an old-style paste-on jacket. One of the rarest Canadian private press records ever made at 100 copies, with five stars in Pokora and little information in Acid Archives. Recorded at a home in Etobicoke, Ontario, this three man formation used a reel to reel to create this sole album only meant for friends and people who attended the few shows they performed. Not the best pressing, but we were lucky to get the tape to allow us to improve on the original pressing slightly. Recorded in their home, this folk rock album has good song writing and has a nice charm. All original material with no cover songs and Canadian based lyrics like 'Nova Scotia Morning' (although the entire band was from Ontario), this is an album you won't find anytime soon, if ever."

"In May 1976, an incident involving the American container SS Mayaguez prompted the US forces, including 1,000 Marine Corps to use the U-Tapao airbase in Thailand as a base for a rescue mission against the Cambodian government's (Khemer Rouge) forces. This was done without the permission of the Thai government which said the act was a violation of Thai sovereignty and sparked fierce protests outside the US Embassy. The US president only issued a very short 'apology' which acted as the catalyst for Caravan to join the public protest. Caravan wrote political songs against the US and used them in a mass protest in March 1976. The band members all came back to work together amid the heated political atmosphere and protests to drive out the American Army base, during which there were many bombings, shootings, fatalities and much blood-shed. The American Antarai album was ready for release before the mass public protest to demand that the Kukrit Pramoj government's promise of calling for the withdrawal of all US forces from Thailand by 20th March 1976." "Having formed during the height of the Zamrock period, Salty Dog was a three man band modeled after the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Wanting to base the band around the concept of the force of life, Salty Dog was chosen for the band's name because it is a slang term for 'sperm.' The eighth release on the Zambezi imprint, Salty Dog is one of the most obscure Zambian titles from the era having failed to achieve the success of some of their peers like Witch. The self titled release is a combination of psychedelic rock, blues, and folk, with all English songs. Really good from start to end, essential for collectors of African rock and insanely rare as an original. As a bonus for this release we've also managed to press up the non-LP single that was released before the album titled 'Sunday Morning Sunshine.'" Includes booklet with photos.

"Christelle is a 6 year old girl. She is happy. One day she meets an evil genius who makes her have bad hallucinations. Each song is one of her hallucinations. Reissue of a rare, 250 copy private press progressive rock album from France, rated five stars in the Pokora Books. Recorded on a four track Akai in the small town of Luxueil-les-Bains, this album was only sold at a few shows and in one local shop. Pressed at the small Le Kiosque D'Orphee pressing plant, this was truly a private offering with the band having made and glued the covers themselves. A long album, including the 14+ minute progressive gem 'Theme Guerre,' the music spans from lo-fi fuzz laden numbers to strong progressive songs with numerous bridges and changes. Conceptually a rock opera, but plays like a full length progressive album that could rival anything from France at the time. Remastered with wonderful sound quality, this is sure to open the ears of many who've overlooked the band until now." The CD editions features 4 bonus tracks not available on the LP, plus a booklet with photos.

"First anthology from Indonesia's heaviest psychedelic and progressive funk rock group. CD housed in 'old school' gatefold sleeve with insert. AKA featured on Now Again's Those Shocking Shaking Days compilation (2011). Originating from Indonesia's second largest city, Surabaya, East Java, AKA is an acronym of Apotik Kali Asin. Starting off their careers as an infamous local band with notorious crowd pleasing antics, AKA regularly went through repertoires of Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Three Dog Night before finding a significant audience outside their home city. It was soon after that the band signed with a Jakarta based label, Indra Records that they started producing a steady release of albums, including 11 studio LPs and a couple of compilations. The lead singer Ucok Harahap - who famously idolizes James Brown- is perhaps the most notorious rock performer in Indonesia's pop history, infamous for brandishing (amongst others) coffins, whips and stripping naked on stage during performances. Sadly due to recording English based, heavy psychedelic/progressive funk, AKA's music failed to gain popularity at the time of its release. Today, AKA is recognized as one of Indonesia's top rock bands of all time, and for good reason. With this release, we are proud to offer an Anthology encompassing AKA's heaviest & funkiest moments."
