"In four short years Tsuba has become one of the UK's most respected underground house labels with releases from some of the world's most desirable producers. One of the key artists in the Tsuba family is Samuel Thalmann aka Okain. Okain has had an impressive few years releasing for Tsuba, Quartz and Jetaime and whilst not in the studio has kept up an intense touring schedule taking in dates at some of the world's leading clubs. His latest release kicks off with title track 'Sleepwalking', a superb slice of bumpin groove laden house with subtle vocal hooks and a spacey hypnotic vibe. Next up is 'Scream', a track which once again journey's into the realms of rock solid house, featuring a rollin bassline, loose jackin percussion and refined melodic elements. Closing track 'Grimmy' rounds off an EP that is certain to keep dancefloors moving in the months to come and a perfect example of Okain's production talents."

"Murmur records head man Geddes teams up with rising star Mic Newman on Solaris. The result is seductive and organic deep house with a bottom end that packs serious punch on the dancefloor. Detroit's Anonym strips things back to provide a deeper and more driving take on the original. A stunning 12" featuring two tracks of forward-thinking, club-friendly house music."

"The excellent Tsuba follow up last year's multi-artist Tsuba Samurai EP with Return of The Samurai, this time featuring the exceptional talent that is Rozzo, Two Armadillos, David Pher and Nima Gorji. Rozzo aka Peter Dildo kicks off part one with the superb 'Muramasa,' the sort of simple but stunning example of shuffling tech house that has made both his solo productions and his Mountain People work the toast of the house community. Slightly more warped than his usual fare, 'Muramasa' is a collage of late night atmospherics and tight rhythms which will suit almost any time of night or morning. Next up is Nima Gorji, an artist causing a stir through releases for the likes of his own Welt Recordings and London-based Murmur. His 'Japanese Sword' track cuts a sharp silhouette, with half-bar snipped loops and a funky bassline providing just about all you need to effectively cut the rug."

"12" number two sees the upwardly mobile Two Armadillos (Dessous / Buzzin Fly) serve up the delightful and appropriately titled 'Jazz Falutin.' Consisting of King Roc and Secret Sundaze man Giles Smith, the duo are extremely safe hands and the deft, sample based grooves of their contribution displays that. Last, but certainly not least, David Pher steps up with the smooth-as-butter 'Sweet Little Sin' -- a combination of low lever loop interplay, a walking bassline and near-transparent keys, it's a breezing and engaging end to a spectacular four track, house music EP. David will release his debut full EP on Tsuba before the end of the year."

"Tsuba is pleased to welcome back David K back to the fold for his next Tsuba release -- the string led house gem '73 Tomtom Avenue.' David debuted on Tsuba in 2007 with the two part Three Arches EP, that was played and loved by everyone from Underworld through to Loco Dice. '73 Tomtom Avenue' is sure to have the same response with its insanely catchy hummed vocal and soaring strings. Jimpster has delivered a stunning remix that uses the vox and strings to full effect, underpinned with a deeper housier groove. The perfect artist to remix this timeless track."

"Eric Borgo is no stranger to Tsuba, having released one of the biggest tracks on the label, 'Another Man,' alongside fellow Frenchman, Oxia. Mopti is clearly influenced by the sound of Basic Channel and is an excursion into deep dub house with a classic feel. Oxia was executive producer on this project. For the remix, Pier Bucci teams up with Matthew Styles for a deep Latin-tinged mix complete with soaring strings and club-heavy groove. Bonus track '1900' with Yannick Baudino is a more energetic affair, with crisp percussion and throbbing bass-line."

"2007 saw Peace Division turn in a superb and heavily supported 12" for Crosstown Rebels as well as impeccable remixes for Audio Soul Project and Kerri Chandler. 2008 sees them kick off a brand new project for Tsuba: Peace Division Presents The Lab. Devised as an outlet for deeper, sample based experiments within house music, The Lab's first creation is a 5-track EP for the highly regarded London based imprint. As you'd expect, the undeniable Peace Division groove which has made PD one of the most respected duos in house music is in full force throughout this EP. The beat-perfect arrangements that Drake and Henry are known for are here too but there's an increased warmth throughout with the use of sparse chords, subtly used samples and gentle layering of sounds. From the heavy John Ciafone-esque vibes of 'Theory' and 'We Want You' to the smooth liquidity of 'Get Over It' via the futurist updates of the traditional house template of 'Basik' of 'In My Mind' this EP is Peace Division at their very best. With well over ten years experience at the top of their game as DJs and producers it's no surprise that Clive Henry and Justin Drake have a constant stream of support in all they do."

"Dakotta's Tishmongo label has released music from some of the world's finest talent including Guy Gerber and David K. In 2008 he's making a name as a budding producer with releases lined up for Francois K's Wave records and the UK's mighty Tsuba. 'I Need Help' is a psychedelic house trip that would equally be at home in the sets of Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos or Giles Peterson and DJ Koze. 'On A Roll' is atmospheric house that is the perfect warm up track. Following the success of his Steve Lawler remix (still hot with Loco Dice, Konrad Black, Martin Landsky, Steve Bug & John Digweed) label boss Kevin Griffiths steps in with a deep, tribal tinged percussive interpretation of 'I Need Help.'"

"Tsuba is proud to present the debut single from Geddes, one third of Rekleiner alongside Audiofly and the man behind London and Ibiza's infamous Mulletover parties. 'Trial' and 'Error' show two distinct sides to Geddes' musical personality -- 'Trial' is atmospheric deep house with a lighter vibe and 'Error' is darker, moodier tech house with shades of Konrad Black. Dynamic and Kindisch Records rising star H.O.S.H has delivered a super hot remix. It's deep, hypnotic and spacey house underpinned with that all-important jackin' bassline. As a DJ, Geddes now holds international prominence with appearances in 2007 at Berlin's Panorama Bar and Watergate, D!Club in Lausanne and the Loft in Barcelona. Past performances have brought him success with large crowds as well as in modest spaces."

"Danton Eeprom made his Tsuba debut last year with One Thing Leads To Another and has since released records on Freak n' Chic and his own Fondation imprint. The follow up for Tsuba, To The Bone has already been included on the Steve Lawler Viva London album and has Danton's trademark dark funk throughout. The vocal is what really makes this and Danton stand out from the crowd. This man is going to be huge! For the remix, Jamie Jones delivers a stunner, adding his trademark trippy and hypnotic touches to the original. With Danton and Jamie on the same 12", it's another big Tsuba release."

"Steve Lawler is a definitive DJ and producer, renowned as one of the world's premier and most respected talents. From his legendary residencies We Love and VIVA at Space in Ibiza to Viva Harlem Nights at The End in London, and his Lights Out and VIVA tours of North America, Lawler is one of the most powerful touring names in electronic music. He hasn't had over 500,000 plays for his music on Myspace for nothing! Steve Lawler was once hailed the pioneer of twisted house, but his sound has evolved through the years although the main elements still remain, meandering through deep, dark, sexy house tracks. 'Sleepwalking' marks his debut single for Tsuba, following the hugely successful 'Courses For Horses' on Renaissance. Part 1 -- The first 12" serves up the killer remixes for the Tsuba faithful. Will Saul & Tam Cooper's mix is deep, sexy & driving house music and one of their best mixes to date. Following his own Jaguar Shoes single label boss Kevin Griffiths steps up with a deeper, tripped-out mix with a killer groove for the afterhours."

"What better way to start 2008 than with the huge 'Zone' by The Hacker & Eric Borgo, already licensed to Jennifer Cardini's new Kompakt compilation. The Hacker needs no introduction -- a true pioneer with album releases on his own Goodlife label (with his friends Oxia and Alex Reynaud) and with Miss Kitten on DJ Hell's Gigolo imprint. In 2001 at the dawn of electroclash, they were booked all over the world with Miss Kittin appearing as a dominant nurse and The Hacker cold as ice behind the machines and decks. In 2007, Michel describes his style as 'classic Detroit-style with Jeff Mills in mind.' Long term friend and Tsuba artist Eric Borgo teams up with Michel on the moody techno of 'Zone.' For the remix, it's a great coup to have the first mix from Ivan Smagghe & Tim Paris' new project 'Its A Fine Line.' The result, as you would expect, is a club mix that's typical Smagghe -- brooding, moody electro with a super-tight groove and eerie synths. It's a big one!"

"Huge Samim remix! Support from Claude Von Stroke, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler, Radio Slave, Sebo K, Simon Baker, Ripperton, Misstress De Funk (Radio 1), Kiki, X-Press 2, Cari Lekebusch, Guy Gerber. This is the second part of the Three Arches EP from Freak n' Chic and Cocoon star, David K. The deep and dub mixes were made with the afterparty in mind and center around a low-slung bass line, hypnotic grooves and a tripped-out melody. In David's words 'This is one my favorite productions this year fusing the best elements of deep house and techno -- I love to play these tracks.' Samim ups the ante and delivers a killer club mix, adding a heavier bottom end and old skool riff while maintaining the dubby vibe of the original. One of his best mixes yet!"

"Huge with 2000 And One, Oxia, Shinedoe, Audiofly, Raudive, Gregor Thresher, 3 Channels, Claude Von Stroke, Laurent Garnier, Tyler Stadius, Adultnapper. Tsuba label boss steps out front with a track up his sleeve and, naturally, its pretty damn good. 'Jaguar Shoes' is a sparse, tripped-out bleepy ride made for late night shindigs -- Panorama bar style -- complete with stripped-back pads and panning electronics and a house groove that's part Guido Schneider, part Argy. Respect. The Ripperton mix has been described as his best-ever with shades of deep house and techno, building towards the melancholy mandolin string riff of the original."
