"The excellent Tsuba follow up last year's multi-artist Tsuba Samurai EP with Return of The Samurai, this time featuring the exceptional talent that is Rozzo, Two Armadillos, David Pher and Nima Gorji. Rozzo aka Peter Dildo kicks off part one with the superb 'Muramasa,' the sort of simple but stunning example of shuffling tech house that has made both his solo productions and his Mountain People work the toast of the house community. Slightly more warped than his usual fare, 'Muramasa' is a collage of late night atmospherics and tight rhythms which will suit almost any time of night or morning. Next up is Nima Gorji, an artist causing a stir through releases for the likes of his own Welt Recordings and London-based Murmur. His 'Japanese Sword' track cuts a sharp silhouette, with half-bar snipped loops and a funky bassline providing just about all you need to effectively cut the rug."

"2007 saw Peace Division turn in a superb and heavily supported 12" for Crosstown Rebels as well as impeccable remixes for Audio Soul Project and Kerri Chandler. 2008 sees them kick off a brand new project for Tsuba: Peace Division Presents The Lab. Devised as an outlet for deeper, sample based experiments within house music, The Lab's first creation is a 5-track EP for the highly regarded London based imprint. As you'd expect, the undeniable Peace Division groove which has made PD one of the most respected duos in house music is in full force throughout this EP. The beat-perfect arrangements that Drake and Henry are known for are here too but there's an increased warmth throughout with the use of sparse chords, subtly used samples and gentle layering of sounds. From the heavy John Ciafone-esque vibes of 'Theory' and 'We Want You' to the smooth liquidity of 'Get Over It' via the futurist updates of the traditional house template of 'Basik' of 'In My Mind' this EP is Peace Division at their very best. "What better way to start 2008 than with the huge 'Zone' by The Hacker & Eric Borgo, already licensed to Jennifer Cardini's new Kompakt compilation. The Hacker needs no introduction -- a true pioneer with album releases on his own Goodlife label (with his friends Oxia and Alex Reynaud) and with Miss Kitten on DJ Hell's Gigolo imprint. In 2001 at the dawn of electroclash, they were booked all over the world with Miss Kittin appearing as a dominant nurse and The Hacker cold as ice behind the machines and decks. In 2007, Michel describes his style as 'classic Detroit-style with Jeff Mills in mind.' Long term friend and Tsuba artist Eric Borgo teams up with Michel on the moody techno of 'Zone.'
