Three years in the making, at last comes the stunning new Band Of Pain album. It features contributions from Steven Stapleton and Andrew Liles from Nurse With Wound and Jean-Hervé Peron and Jeanne-Marie Varain from Faust, as well as the usual suspects. It is packaged in a beautiful gloss laminated 12" gatefold sleeve with artwork that is unique to this release by Steven Stapleton (Babs Santini). It also features calligraphy by the wonderful Geoff Cox, who is known for his previous work for Current 93/NWW and, of course, the book "England's Hidden Reverse". The format is a double-CD set -- one CD for side one and one for side two. This keeps with the intended LP concept, but has CD fidelity for the best audio quality for this type of music. In the sleeve's rear opening is a vinyl LP. It's an unplayable 12" record with exclusive Steven Stapleton etchings. It truly has to be seen to be believed, possibly as much of an art object as it is a record. Gatefold sleeve.

2024 restock. It could be argued that Brained and Cooloorta are the definitive Nurse With Wound EPs. Both classic and timeless fan favorites appear for the first time together on one single album. Both EPs marked a distinctive change in the NWW sound. Brained from 1984 showcases NWW at their mid-80s finest. The relentless churning and uncompromising music of "Brained by Falling Masonry" is complimented by the eccentric mania of JG Thirlwell's vocals. "A Short Dip in Glory Hole" takes you into the murky depths of a David Lynch influenced nightmare, a lysergic unhinged movie for the ears, which greatly influenced the Peter Strickland film Berberian Sound Studio. "Cooloorta Moon" from 1989 takes you in a whimsical direction and further highlights the boundless originality of NWW. The evolution of NWW utilizing more traditional instrumentation and bordering on the verge of song structures started coming to the fore on this EP. In addition to all the original songs from the Cooloorta and Brained EPs, the 2010 track, "Sarah's Beloved Aunt" perfectly closes this collection. Lovingly remastered by Andrew Liles. Again, this arrives in a beautiful die-cut sleeve with Babs Santini artwork.

2022 reprint; a new iridescent foil blocked cover insert makes this one of Dirter Promotion's most elegant and desirable releases to date. Originally recorded and released in 1988, Nurse With Wound's ambient opus was years ahead of its time, a ground-breaking set of atmospheric sound patterns designed for ritual ceremonies. Hailed as a masterpiece on release, it soon became a firm favorite of NWW fans and topped the world ambient chart for over three months. Originally a limited-edition, three-album set housed in a handsome 12-inch gold and black foil embossed box, this new edition, a CD facsimile of the original vinyl set, contains the entire album, plus 40 minutes of superb quality, previously unreleased music from the original sessions that did not appear on the vinyl.

This CD is the first collaboration of Steven Stapleton's Nurse With Wound and composer/sculptor Graham Bowers. It is, without doubt, one of the best things United Dirter has ever released. It's an extremely unnerving, but also hauntingly moving listening experience. The work is an attempt to create a musical illustration of the "goings-on" in the brain during the last hour and three minutes of life after suffering a major stroke. It is multi-layered and is primarily concerned with the internal chaos caused by the loss of control of thought processes, responses and consequential actions, with all types of incoherent disjointed memories and present real-time events -- as well as moments of lucidity, panic and fear -- clashing, merging and evolving. It's essentially one long piece, but is presented in three parts: 01. "...A Life As It Now Is 02. "...Is Not What It Was" 03. "...And Will Never Be Again." It arrives packaged in a beautiful 6-panel gloss-laminated digipack, featuring artwork from both Babs Santini and Graham Bowers. The edition is limited to just 1,000 copies in this format.

Chrystal Belle Scrodd/A Bad Diana's Diana Rogerson and the inexorable Andrew Liles have teamed up to release a remarkable collaborative album. Rogerson and Liles both have a long history of working with the likes of Nurse With Wound and Current 93, and No Birds Do Sing expands upon their previous musical output with what can only be described as a hallucinogenic voyage of disconcerting mysticism and cosmic pandemonium. No Birds Do Sing, filled with Eastern promise, blue gods and wrathful deities, is sure to stiffen lingam and moisten yoni far and wide. Grinding, disturbing, dark, and ultimately compelling experiments in found-sound samples, harsh vocals, exotic percussion, and electronic screech. This disc is completely black and comes in a stunning super high-gloss digipack with wonderful artwork by Babs Santini.
