"Anthony Braxton (born 1945, Chicago) is an American composer, saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist, pianist and philosopher. He has created a large body of highly complex work. Braxton is one of the most prolific American musicians/composers to date, having released well over 100 albums since the 1960s. Maral Yakshieva (born 1968, Chardzhou) -- Turkmen composer and pianist, now resident in Russia. She studied music theory and piano at the College of Music in Chardzhou (1983-87) and graduated with a diploma of excellence in both subjects. She studied composition and piano at the State Conservatory of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat (1988-95) and graduated with a diploma of excellence in both subjects. She then studied composition with Albert Leman at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (1995-97) and music psychology. As a pianist, she has performed contemporary pieces and improvisations in the Czech Republic, Russia and Uzbekistan with such musicians as Roscoe Mitchell, Thomas Buckner, Marcus Stockhausen, Lydia Kavina, Sergei Letov, István Grencsó and others."
