Magit Cacoon, DJ and producer, born in Tel Aviv, Berlin resident, and owner of Girl Scout Records fronts the third Whatpeopleplay release, which combines stellar, forward-thinking house with very hypnotic vocal themes, big bass lines and a driving groove. The whole thing gets countered by a haunting, enchanting, and very cool La Fleur remix that simply builds and builds, on and on and on and on.

"Western Starland" is surely one of the signature tunes by tech-funk luminary John Tejada and his long-time collaborateur Ariane Leviste. Originally released in 2001 on his Palette imprint, this is one of those tunes that never leaves crates and if you have been dancing anywhere in the last 10 years, you'll instantly recognize those synthetic string chords. Tejada revamps the original with a brand-new 2011 mix and the flip holds the glorious original plus the Tejada VIP mix from 2003.

Whatpeopleplay, Wordandsound's digital download store, starts his very own physical (and digital) record label with Sweden-born and Berlin resident producer and DJ Sanna La Fleur Engdahl. Sanna's "Flowerhead" has been buzzing with its fresh piano-laden drive since Autumn 2010 and has yet again been nominated #8 of the 10 most important releases by the UK's Mixmag! Spencer Parker revisits the original track for an 11-minute killer of epic proportions. La Fleur's bonus track "Racine" makes the package complete.
