"For the better part of the last fifteen years, the duo of Max Dameron (guitar/vox) and Sam Ford (drums/vox) have been too weird and too wild for this lame-ass planet. After enjoying vagabond stints living in Portland, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, they now call Detroit home. Here they rebuild, out of the scraps and wreckage of the 21st century, something which casts aside any rules or adherence to banal tropes: Psychic Trash. Specializing in the unexpected, Dameron and Ford have wrought an individual sound that's as much post-Melvins sludge punk as it is futurist prog-metal. Their forthcoming self-titled debut, recorded in 2022 at High-Bias in Detroit, puts on display the fruits of their metamorphosis. From the soaring triumphal fuzz of 'Uncanny Valley' or the sweep and thrust of 'House Of Butterflies,' their craft is precise -- they're just making up their own shapes to sculpt. Times change and artists mature: under the name Psychic Trash, Ford and Dameron come to Riding Easy Records as veterans turning a fresh page, reinvigorated at the prospect of forging a new path and the beneficiaries of about a decade and a half's slog through the underground. Psychic Trash's self-titled debut is unmistakably uncompromising, a little theatrical, intermittently manic, and deceptively broad in style for just how much punk rests beneath."

LP version. A live musical performance to Derek Jarman's In The Shadow of the Sun. Recorded live at Cafe OTO, London, England on May 23, 2017. Derek Jarman's In The Shadow of the Sun forms part of a series of films, shot and edited on S8mm, grouped under the collective title The Art of Mirrors. In The Shadow of the Sun is the longest of these running at 54 minutes. Filming took place between 1972-74 and the film was completed in 1974. When Derek showed the film, he would play Verdi's requiem as an accompaniment. In 1980 the FDK in Berlin agreed to make a 16mm blow up of the S8mm film to be shown at the Berlinale forum. The footage was blown-up to 16mm by John Hall of Colour Technique. Derek felt that the new version should have a new accompaniment and, with this in mind, approached Throbbing Gristle to provide the music. In May 23, 2017, Psychic TV performed two live soundtracks to In The Shadow of the Sun at Cafe OTO in London. The recordings on this LP were made that night. For the realization of this project Psychic TV were: Genesis Breyer P-Orridge - violin; Edley ODowd - drums and percussion; Alice Genese - flute; Jeff Berner - guitar; John Weingarten - keyboards. Live mixing by Matski; Album produced by Edley ODowd.

Cold Spring Records present Kondole / Dead Cat, a double CD and DVD collection. The rare film features: Derek Jarman, Andrew Tiernan -- The Pianist (2002), 300 (2006), The Bunker (2001), Derek Jarman's Edward II (1991) -- and Genesis P-Orridge (Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle). The first CD features the complete, long version of "Dead Cat". "...what could be more beautiful that such a sustaining & chronic radical as Gen could have provided us all -- in the form of Kondole -- with a piece of truly necessary Everyday Listening?" --Julian Cope, Head Heritage. The second CD contains three tracks. "Thee Whale" was recorded at Time Square Studios, Chiswick, London, on January 23rd, 1988. It is the soundtrack to an unmade 23-minute film called Kondole (Thee Whale), by David Lewis and Andy Crabb. The second part, "Thee Shadow Creatures" was recorded at Hyperdelic Studios, San Francisco on January 23rd, 1993. The third part, "Dead Cat" was recorded at Time Square Studios, Chiswick, London, on January 23rd, 1989. It is the soundtrack to the film Dead Cat by David Lewis (1989). The DVD contains the film Dead Cat. It was released in 1989 and shown only at a handful of cinemas that year, including once at the infamous Scala Cinema in London. It was never issued on general release and has only recently been uncovered by David Lewis (writer and director). The full film is presented here, re-authored from the original source. The film itself features unique starring roles from cult film director Derek Jarman, Andrew Tiernan, and Genesis P-Orridge. The film features the music of Psychic TV. Presented in a lavish eight-panel matt digipak with booklet. DVD is PAL region free.

Conceived and recorded quickly over only a few brief, yet intense studio sessions utilizing an array of new and vintage hardware, the debut from Psychic Health captures the duo's sharp, intuitive minimalism and sense of unpolished energy. The collaboration between Los Angeles residents Devon Stevens and Gabriel Mousey, is informed by their time in Berlin and Melbourne where they found inspiration within many mutations of uncompromising sound system music. Creeping soundscapes throughout their self-titled full-length are stripped-back, designed to be played loud for maximum effect. Psychic Health rewards patience by slowly unraveling rhythmic structures, careening between dubby, hypnotic techno, and barbed industrial chug -- not sounding out of place next to titles from Sandwell District, Avian, and Droid. Inviting repeated listens, the album makes an excellent companion for those seeking a brief expedition into the half-lit depths of the psyche. Psychic Health was created with: Elektron Machinedrum, Analog 4, Octatrack, Teenage Engineering OP-1, Roland Juno 106, Eurorack Modular DSI Evolver. Edition of 300.

If Psychic Health's self-titled debut album (2015) took the lessons the LA duo learned in the teeming clubs of Berlin and Melbourne, their latest LP, Exclusion, looks inward; it's a document of the duo tunneling down the studio wormhole. As such, Exclusion is a remarkably dynamic effort, adeptly jumping between evocative ambience ("Jamaica 88", "Ryso") and equally expansive dancefloor fair. Examples of the latter, such as the album's obvious centerpiece and titular track, "Exclusion", document Gabriel Mounsey and Devon Steffens's harnessing modular beast technology for peak techno utility, finding a clear thoroughfare between the soaring strings of Derrick May's classic Transmat releases and Ostgut Ton's current EBM-inflected precision. As you'd expect from Mounsey's background in film composition, Exclusion whirls with imagery. It's a Los Angeles album, but focuses on raw beauty of the city at night -- the lights in the distance, and the desolate downtown streets where kick drums often waft from disused warehouses. While their debut album opened notable doors for the group, landing distribution from Hard Wax and a feature in the Netflix series Sense8, Exclusion is an altogether masterful turn for Psychic Health, their complete studio immersion, easing the listener into deeply hypnotic states.

Born in 1981 from industrial music progenitors Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV is fronted by Throbbing Gristle cofounder, anti-hero, artist, and pandrogyne Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. Psychic TV is particularly known for its intense and visceral live performances and for a creative lineage that includes such cultural luminaries as William S. Burroughs, Derek Jarman, and Timothy Leary, among others. In 2003, New York-based artist and musician Edley ODowd gently persuaded Genesis to rekindle their desire to perform and create music as Psychic TV. The result has been a run of concerts and releases as Psychic TV and PTV3, many recordings of which were made available digitally though Dais Records on January 22, 2016 -- many for the first time ever in a digital format outside of a 2014 self-released flash drive. To commemorate the release of this catalogue, the band has put together Fishscales Falling: A Smorgasbord ov Delights, a compilation of live recordings, demos, outtakes, and other material from 2003 through 2016. Originally released as an LP for Record Store Day 2016. Includes a CD-only bonus track.

Angry Love Productions proudly announces the release of Alienist by Psychic TV. Alienist is the follow-up to 2014's highly acclaimed Snakes (OTTT 030LP) which in part, explored Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's foray into African Voudoun culture. Alienist in part explores drummer and Psychic TV's co-producer Edley ODowd's fascination of Psychic TV's longtime reinterpretation of contemporary rock classics. This time tackling "Jump Into The Fire" by the late Harry Nilsson as well as Genesis' teenage favorite "How Does It Feel To Feel" by '60s British psychedelic rockers The Creation. Original tracks include the haunting yet emotional "Looking For You" - an epic journey in which Genesis lets Lucifer himself know that his "time is over". A delightful fusion of dance grooves harking back to Psychic TV's acid house days and the band's current love of heavy psychedelic rock.

"Sadly (for us left coasters), in November 2010 Ms. Leyna Noel aka Psychic Reality decamped from SF to NYC, but before packing up her every worldly possession and road-tripping trans-America she eked out a sliver of precious time to hole up in the studio with Phil Manley (Trans Am, Jonas Reinhardt, etc) and recorded her long-awaited debut full-length on thick 2 inch tape. Vibrant New Age is the result. The name says it all. But Noel's New Age is not the '80s redux fad of healing crystals, pastel fades, dolphin consciousness, etc, but a living, electrified awakening. From the high drama drum machinery of 'Fruit' and 'Expla' to the naked, airy avant-pop of 'Hi High' and 'Fanta' through to the stuttery, mechanized power ballad finale, 'Soft Script,' this is Noel at her most majestic and fully realized and it's a wild life-force to behold. Vibe the Vibrant. Black vinyl LPs in jackets with art/design by Ms Reality. Edition of 600."
