Hailing from Sabbath City with an evolution over numerous albums and tours, Alunah continue to tread their own path in 2021. The band opens a world of doom infused hard rock, mixing in whatever else takes their interest with little regard for outside trends.

With their third album on Heavy Psych Sounds Records, Alunah have wasted no time in a post-pandemic haze since their last release, balancing being on the European festival circuit alongside touring the UK. However, in a Birmingham rehearsal room away from the outside world, everyday life and online noise, their latest full length Fever Dream has been quietly brewing waiting to see the light of day. Forged from a period of extensive jamming and soul searching, Fever Dream digs into the core of what makes Alunah tick, being in a room together making the music they want to hear. Recorded during the winter of 2024, the atmosphere of the historic Foel Studio allows groove to flow alongside riff, heft and melody in equal measure. The brooding progressive majesty of the title track, the eastern soundscape of "Sacred Grooves" and the doom and roll of "Far From Reality" each highlight the album's ability to surprise and deliver in equal measure throughout the emotive journey of its nine tracks. Let yourself fall deep into the Fever Dream. Produced by Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, Conan).

Strange Machine, not just the title of the new Alunah album, but a summary of surviving the last two years. Written and rehearsed during the pandemic whilst overcoming numerous personal struggles, Strange Machine shows Alunah in their most diverse yet focused light. Returning to Foel Studio in October 2021 for the follow-up to their Heavy Psych Sounds debut with producer Chris Fielding, the nine tracks span the epic majesty of "The Earth Spins" featuring guest guitars from Shane Wesley (Crowbar), to the groove of "Dead Woman Walking". From the West Coast psychedelia of "Psychedelic Expressway" to the swagger of the title track, this is the sound of Alunah cutting loose and free. Welcome to the Strange Machine. Artwork by Mariano Peccinetti.

On the back of last 2018's critically acclaimed Amber & Gold EP, Alunah return with Violet Hour, the new album and first for Heavy Psych Sounds. Violet Hour sees the energy of Alunah's dark, doom-tinged hard rock being cranked up with the arrival of guitarist Dean Ashton (bassist in Diamond Head) alongside the soaring vocals of Sian Greenaway and rhythmic foundation of Dan Burchmore and Jake Mason. Recorded at the historic Welsh Foel Studio and produced by Chris Fielding (Conan, Electric Wizard, Primordial) the eight tracks on display show the fruits of a productive early 2019 with a searing combination of melodies, riffs, and focused writing. From the opening combination of "Trapped & Bound" and "Dance Of Deceit", the album pulls the listener in to an ominous world brought to life by artist Felipe Froeder - Arcano XV and doesn't let go until the brooding finale "Lake Of Fire". With roots dating back to 2006 in "Sabbath City" UK and an evolution that has grown over four previous albums and numerous European tours/festival dates, the momentum now picks up the pace.
