There is some kind of mystery connection with Brazilian artists and their LPs recorded in Mexico. According to Loronix, LPs by Carlos Lyra, Wilson Simonal, Tamba Trio and João Gilberto were all recorded in Mexico. Leny Andrade's Gravado No Mexico (1966) is really hard to find and perhaps unknown to many bossa jazz aficionados. This is the kind of record that even if you do know it exists, you've never had the chance to listen to it. What you get here is a classic masterpiece recorded at the right time with the right personnel. Leny is accompanied by Breno Sauer (vibraphone), Portinho (drums), Erneo Eger (bass) and Adão Pinheiro (piano).
