QND Philosophy present the new EP by Daniele Baldelli and Marco Dionigi, with their own project Funkadiba. Irradia is the first single anticipating the third Funkadiba album. The duo, veteran cosmic disco originator Daniele Baldelli and his long-time partner in crime Marco Dionigi, produced this amazing four-tracker full of solid funky grooves, spaced-out waves and deep electronic vibes. If you're in love with retro future sounds, you really can't miss it.

Listening, by chance, to the track "Alternate Music for the Hindenberg Lounge Pt.2," contained on the 1982 vinyl recording The American Music Compilation on the Eurock label, Daniele Baldelli discovered the music of Richard Bone for the first time. For regular clients of the Cosmic Club (in Lazise , Lake Garda, Verona), it soon became a very sought-after track, thanks to Baldelli's special mixing talents: he used to play this track at 45 instead of 33 rpm, overlaying it on Mike Oldfield's "Foreign Affair." Marco Dionigi must have liked it too when, at the age of 14, he heard the music of the Cosmic Club for the first time and immediately became a big Baldelli fan. Maybe thanks to this musical meeting, Dionigi began his career as a DJ, giving his best at Verona's Alter Ego Club. Perhaps through fate or a common feeling for certain sounds, Baldelli and Dionigi met by chance in 1992. This resulted in an alliance, a great friendship and a close collaboration that led to them experimenting with new sounds and comparing musical choices, working on several productions. In 2008, Baldelli & Dionigi released the album Cosmic Disco...Nah Cosmic Rock! on Eskimo Records, which included a re-edited Richard Bone track. At that point, thanks to the Web, they made direct contact with Richard Bone, which resulted in them producing this album. The album contains 13 tracks that have been completely re-edited, arranged, adapted and remixed by Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi. It represents their tribute to musician Richard Bone, a way of thanking him for the musical influence and inspiration they have received.

Eskimo delivers a fantastic follow-up to last year's highly acclaimed Prins Thomas mix, Cosmo Galactic Prism. This mix journeys from the public dancehall to the disco, from the smooch to the shake, from the orchestra to the DJ. Daniele Baldelli remains one of the first Italian DJs, who started his illustrious career back in the '60s and became one of Italo-disco's kings of the dancefloor. Cosmic Disco?! Cosmic Rock!!! celebrates a turntable odyssey from a man who lived and breathed Italian disco, American Rn'B and synth pop and pioneered the sound which has influenced countless DJs and producers who currently mine the golden age of synth pop for inspiration. A mixture of European records alongside American soul records, rhythm and blues and funk combined with Afro style against Ravel, Steve Reich, Jorge Ben, Depeche Mode and Malinke chants from New Guinea, Baldelli is the inventor of the "Dee Jay concert." Consisting of four turntables, two mixers and electronic drums or live percussion, 80 to 100 tracks were mixed in not much more than half an hour: a supermegamix was born. Featuring rare and hard-to-find tracks, Cosmic Disco?! Cosmic Rock!!! takes on a dancefloor mission to the shores of Lake Garda where from 1979-1984 "cosmic" was THE place to be and Daniele Baldelli was the disco king at its epicenter. Edited by Marco Dionigi. Featuring artists such as Fra Lippo Lippi, Richard Bone, The Romantics, Kevin Harrison, Translator, Martha And The Muffins, The Dream Syndicate, Thompson Twins, Positive Noise, David Jackson, La Bionda, Torch Song, Ray Parker Junior, Strafe Für Rebellion, Spirit, Spider, Bronx Irish Catholics, and Alicia Bridges.
