Having established himself as one of the biggest names on the nu-disco scene with his debut album ESK 507583/507585, 2016), Tim Bernhardt AKA Satin Jackets, cemented that success with his follow-up, Solar Nights (ESK 510719/510720), that saw the German producer broaden his sound, collaborating with songwriters and vocalists from around the world to stunning effect. Reunion is the third album from nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released on Eskimo Recordings, Reunion is a stunning follow-up to the German producer's first two critically acclaimed albums and features 14 stunning tracks of sun-kissed disco, Balearic house, leftfield pop, and guest vocals from the likes of Australian star Panama, Belgian singer Ivy Falls, US based vocalist Metaxas, and up-and-coming British singer Tailor. With Bernhardt's second album, Solar Nights (ESK 510719/510720, 2019), one of the most successful nu-disco records of recent times the following years should have made the Satin Jackets name a regular fixture on club and festival bills worldwide. The pandemic saw the producer's horizons limited to the four walls of his new Munich studio. Still with the world out of reach Bernhardt turned to the internet to keep in touch with his fans and sow the seeds for what would become Reunion. "Throughout 2020 we recorded a number of what we called Lockdown Streams," explains Bernhardt. With almost no promotion those sessions ended up being streamed over a million-and-a-half times, but for Bernhardt the real reward was the response from fans. "Future Plans I" and "II" are constantly changing routes of ideas, improvisations and coincidences. Whilst cut from the same cloth as the previous tracks "Ribbles" has sparkling, playful melodies that dance before a pulsing disco beat. "Kluts" is driven by a stuttering, head-nodding, rhythm that recalls that rapping sound of a woodpecker in the forest, the track is gently swaddled in a warm embrace of synthetic stings.

Norwegian duo Atella team-up with bonafide Scandinavian sensation AURORA for the frosty ambience of "Ascension". Berlin duo Languages pick-up the baton with the stunning Balearic heart-melter, "Helicopters". Inspired by the Turkish music of his grandfather, Dogu Civicik makes his debut on the label with "Andromalius IV", a heavy, psychedelic brew of chugging beats, delicate jazz flourishes, drones, and industrial sounds. Brooklyn producer IV Edition teams up with Californian singer Lilianna Wilde for "Whose Man's" a languid, nostalgic jam that samples the sound of rain and a close-up recording of fire ants. Russian producer Antenna offers "Sparks" a vintage-sounding cosmic disco gem with warm arpeggios. Parisian producer Simon Says has been doing his thing for over two decades now and it shows in the insouciant funk of "Feel Me", an outrageously funky sex jam. Mexican producers Dan Solo and Future Feelings turn up both the heat and the tempo with "What Else Can I Do", a perfect slice of electro-funk all topped off with the heartfelt vocals of Tony Browne. Keeping the party vibe going Norwegian producer Cavego steps up next with the snappily titled and irrepressibly upbeat "Vår I Øyer" ("Spring in Øyer"). One of the label's veterans, Greek producer NTEIBINT teams up with his fellow Athenian Σtella for a sci-fi disco ballad full of heartbreaks and mellow synth lines. Swedish producer Paresse takes "Quiet Light" from his Sloth Machine EP (2017), a sun-kissed instrumental track. Russian duo Simple Symmetry return with their original track "Prince Of Persia" -- melodic, emotional music that isn't afraid to wear its heart on its sleeve. Icelandic producer Hermigervill's "Disco Borealis" is another stand-out piece of cosmic-Scandi-disco, playful yet still primed for commotion on the dancefloor. Norway's BOKA offer "Space Issues", a wonderfully eclectic track that skips between classic cosmic disco arpeggios, Skatt Bros style chanting, thumping house pianos, and acidic squelches. To close out the collection, British-based duo Horixon and Norwegian singer Else Born offer "Hello", a quiet storm of numinous pads, sparse piano chords, and an almost two-step beat. Ghent based Eskimo Recordings return with The Red Collection, the sixth installment in their color series. Across 13 tracks, The Red Collection segues between left-field electronic pop, disco, and house, taking the listener from the frozen north, to the souks of the middle east and beyond. Icelandic producer Hermigervill opens with the crystalline electronica of "Solitaire" before passing the baton onto Norwegian duo Atella, whose collaboration with Frøder, "Closer To Life", has already been hailed by Clash as a "glittering alt pop belter". Detouring to the Russian city of Kazan, fast-rising producer Antenna delivers an ode to his favorite hookah tobacco in the shape of "Love 66", a breezy slo-mo disco gem filled with Balearic charm. Returning to Scandinavia Philco Fiction's Turid Alida Solberg delivers her solo debut as Else Born, the heartbreaking "This Time/Remember" lauded as a "masterclass in modern electronic pop" by The Line of Best Fit. Japanese based, British producer Max Essa provides a sublime moment of electronic funk with "Your Cathedrals Reimagined". Satin Jackets combine their original brand of diva funk and smooth disco with the refreshing vocals of the talented Niya Wells. LA-based, French duo Blue Motel follow up with their first original material for the label. "Lunch With The King" is divine, French house music with swirling electronic melodies and pulsating bass lines. Greek producer NTEIBINT provides indelible music for both body and soul with "Love". Dutch DJs SHMLSS offer "Train Ride to the Middle East", a psychedelic brew of twisted disco and Middle Eastern sounds. Romanian twins The Gemini Brothers take the listener deep into house territory with the hypnotic bleeps and beats of "Travel Inside". Over to Germany, producer Rey & Kjavik offers "Akya", a mix of throbbing bass, head-spinning synths and chants. Australian born, Munich based TSM, aka This Soft Machine, delivers an outstanding cut of otherworldly disco with a futurist sheen complete with Swedish singer Erik Lindestad, aka The Land Below, on the vocals. The duo Horixon end with "The Beekeeper", featuring vocals from Birsen of one of Belgium's fastest rising acts Hydrogen Sea. Horixon's label friends Atella have reworked the original to create the perfect closing track for The Red Collection.
