Just when you thought you had Kasper Bjørke figured out he comes back with another great musical surprise. His new album, Puzzles, which will be released on hfn music, follows two recent collaborative EPs on Live at Robert Johnson and Mule Musiq as well as his second Kasper Bjørke Quartet neoclassical/ambient album Mother on Kompakt (KOM 456LP, 2022). Puzzles is Kasper's love letter to the sound of early 2000s New York -- merged with his Scandinavian sense of producing songs that goes beyond conventional club music; combining disco-tinged instrumentations mixed with elements of '80s funk, jazz and contemporary pop songwriting, creating something familiar yet, something very fresh and innovative at the same time. The album includes collaborations with a wide range of musicians and vocalists. From California-based, indie-disco troubadour Woolfy (DFA, Rong, Permanent Vacation, etc.) to the Icelandic dream-folk trio Systur aka Sísý Ey (who also featured on Kasper's 2014 single Apart, where the Michael Mayer remix became a timeless club anthem), as well as other longtime collaborators and artist friends: Toby Ernest, Jacob Bellens, WhoMadeWho's Tomas Høffding on bass, Posh Isolation affiliate Frederik Valentin on guitar and the young, rising jazz star Oilly Wallace on saxophone and flute. Essentially, the majority of Puzzles is played and recorded live, including the drums by Rasmus Littauer (School of X, MØ). Many of the songs emerged from chord progressions written during studio sessions between Kasper and Toby -- which Kasper then produced into a colorful and effective album, rooted in an expressive live feeling far from programmed patterns. Puzzles is a new step for Kasper as a producer and artist, showcasing his ability to move and flow freely between genres and expressions, however still deeply rooted in his love and affection for the classic disco groove -- which is only natural after more than two decades as an active DJ. Another piece has been added to the musical puzzle of Kasper Bjørke. Also features Woolfy.

Sprinkles sounds like a utopian postcard -- sent from the past and with hopes for the future. Recorded and produced on his laptop, while spending extensive periods of time in a cabin by the beach in a remote part of Denmark, Kasper Bjørke draws on what currently feels like distant memories; experiences of energy and euphoria from club the countless DJ gigs around the world, during his career which spans over two decades. Rooted in a colorful sound -- filled with light and warmth -- the Balearic vibes and dream house grooves merge with synth choirs, guitars, fretless and acid bass lines and intertwine playfully into a sonic stream of consciousness; a mirage of the past and what will be. Visual artist Luca Bjørnsten's mesmerizing work "Sprinkles", picturing an empty, lush and colorful garden with a large, romantic fountain perfectly embodies the surreal scenario that we have all become much too familiar with. The 13-track instrumental album follows a string of singles this spring and summer and is as a breath of fresh air and a much needed, warm ray of sunshine. Includes download code.

After a three-year absence, Kasper Bjørke returns to HFN with a sublime new double EP entitled Nothing Gold Can Stay. Having followed a deeply personal ambient music path in 2018 led to the release of The Fifty Eleven Project on Kompakt Records (KOM 393LP), (named 5th Best Contemporary Album 2018 in The Guardian), Kasper has found his way back to producing some of his signature leftfield danceable beats, which "the past decade has seen Bjørke steadily rising amongst the ranks of artful, eclectic electronic producers..." (XLR8R) Nothing Gold Can Stay explores both the analog and organic side of his production work on Side A, while Side B reflects on sounds that he would play today, in one of his nightclub DJ sets. Side A contains four collaborations with four friends from LA, New York and Copenhagen. "Water", featuring Toby Ernest, the slow-mo opener to the EP, revives the partnership with Toby that was last seen on 2014's After Forever album (on the single "Rush"). Toby also provides the vocals on the cover version of Alessi Brothers' 1975 classic "Seabird" -- a track that came about through Kasper's friendship and musical synergy with DJ and vinyl digger Christian d'Or, who is lead crooning while Toby delivers his signature falsetto. The "Seabird" cover adds a distinct contemporary feeling to the original version while staying true and respectful to the delivery and mood of the songs core. Side B is directly aimed at the floor. Having stepped away from releasing club jams for a few years, Kasper is clearly enjoying getting back to the business of making people move. Side B of Nothing Gold Can Stay is both a testament to Kasper's versatility as a producer and an all-out dancefloor assault, made with precision and sensitivity. Also features Tomas Høffding and Justin Strauss.

Despite having deep roots within the club scene as an acclaimed producer, remixer and busy DJ, Kasper Bjørke in past years, has focused on song oriented compositions for his own albums, suitable for home listening rather than the dance floor. But for Fountain Of Youth, Kasper turns his own full attention to the business of making people move. Fountain of Youth is a mini-LP drawing on Kasper's 15 years immersed in club culture and inspired by some of the genres he plays in his own DJ sets around the world: house, classic electro, post-disco and techno. It's exceptionally executed, a masterclass in exquisite sound and production - an innate knowledge of dance floor dynamics. "Cloud 9" is the haunting and melancholic 808 breakbeat infused lead single (which features Urdur on the vocal version, known from the Icelandic collective GusGus) - an intoxicating '90s vocal house music tribute, that will surely provide both euphoric moments on the club floors and warm the hearts of radio audiences alike. "Cloud 9" is released accompanied by luminary remixes from Gerd Janson, Marvin & Guy and Weval. "Klint" is a throbbing and fun jam that conjures up memories of post-disco and itchy Italo. "Rays" draws on a dreamy, descending synth theme, 808 patterns and a thick, punchy low end. "Zenith (feat. Null & Void)" with its distinct, distorted and glitchy modular synth anthem, is a perfect after-burner for the later hours. "Köln" has Kasper showing his deep love for the German techno capital, with a trippy percussive groove that builds into a futuristic ride topped by a simple, synthetic string theme. "Palindromos" pushes into the dream zone driven by filtered drum loops, giving the whole track a sense of enormous space and that certain UK feeling. "Dawn", works as an outro on the mini-LP - a beat-less, ambient saxophone infused affair. The cover art is by Danish rising artist Lotte Rose Kjaer Skau, represented by IMT Gallery in London. The captivating computer visualized art piece is called "Lidenskab" which translates into "Passion".

Kasper Bjørke presents Apart (feat. Sísý Ey) Remixes, the fourth single following his 2014 full-length After Forever (HFN 037CD/LP). The original version of "Apart (feat. Sísý Ey)" was the "Tune of the Month" in Mixmag's September 2014 issue, in which Digby writes, "...nothing short of genius... Kasper's absolutely nailed it." Kompakt co-founder Michael Mayer gives the tune's melancholy synth pop an epic feel, remaking it for the darkest of big room dancefloors. Renowned producer Ewan Pearson adds a hi-NRG vibe, exposing the yearning vocal before adding arpeggios and synthesizers to an irresistible motorik pulse. Artwork by American artist John Copeland.

Kasper Bjørke returns with an exquisite new album, After Forever, the Danish producer's boldest and most elegant statement to date. The scene has been set by two lead singles: "Rush," featuring Tobias Buch -- and "Sylvia" featuring CTM. Moving away from a previous '70s disco-inspired sound, Kasper explores new terrain in contemporary, melancholic synth pop; his productions merging themselves into a multi-colored soundscape with echoes from post disco/punk, Kraut and new wave. "After Forever is good for dark, sad dancing -- or a headphone journey inwards," says Kasper. "I feel like I really went somewhere else on this album, to a place where I haven't been before. Out of my safety zone and into a darker space." The fourth album by Danish producer, DJ and all-around music entrepreneur Kasper Bjørke is his boldest and most elegant statement to date. For After Forever managed to acquire some brilliant collaborators: Kurt Uenala is known for his releases as kap10kurt, but became famous for his songwriting and production for bands like Depeche Mode, Moby, Dave Gahan, The Black Ryder, etc. New York icon Nomi Ruiz is best-known as a former member of Hercules & Love Affair and for vocals on the last album as well as her new band Jessica 6. Tobias Buch is also known as The Red Baron and as the lead singer of the new hippie band The Late Great Fitzcarraldos. CTM is Caecilie Trier, the singer of successful bands Chimes & Bells and Choir Of Young Believers. Soho Rezanejad is a promising new talent from the Copenhagen underground and known for her band Gold Lip. Finland's Jaako Eino Kalevi has just been signed to Domino Records and recently released an EP for Beats In Space. According to The Guardian he is "the most impressive 'rock'n'roll' artist with an alternate simultaneous 'proper' job that we've heard of since Vic Godard the post-punk postman. The Finnish 29-year-old has been releasing records back home, while being a tram driver in Helsinki." Icelandic pop band Sisy Ey rounds off a brilliant set of contributors. The third album from Kasper Bjørke, Fool, is another tour de force in his signature production style. The versatile Copenhagen producer and DJ follows up on his successful sophomore solo album from 2010 Standing On Top Of Utopia (HFN 004CD/LP) that reached high acclaim from the international press and indie blogosphere. Like a vinyl record, the track list has been split into two sides: the pop-infused, vocal-based bittersweet love songs of the "Hungry Side" is halfway through taken over by an overture that leads into the darker and mainly instrumental "Foolish Side," containing spaced-out, psychedelic trips and no-wave disco voyages. Both moods however, fluently melt together as one coherent piece -- playful, yet clever -- and definitely Kasper's most ambitious album to date. Features vocals from Jacob Bellens (Murder and I Got You On Tape), Emma Acs (The Inbred Family) and Laidback.

Kasper Bjørke is the Danish multi-talent whose beautiful, classic analog meets cutting-edge futuristic. Standing On Top Of Utopia (HFN 004CD/LP) kickstarted a revolution in post-electronic stylings. This remix package represents this whole-heartedly, with three outstanding remixes of "Heaven." Prins Thomas' "Diskomiks" version stretches out dreamily over 9 minutes in this timeless rearrangement, while Muzzle Flash adds a little more pressure for the dancefloors while still maintaining that slower, lazy vibe. Also includes a mix by Nicolas Jaar.

HFN music proudly presents its first artist release with Kasper Bjørke's second long-player, Standing On Top Of Utopia. Two years after his much-applauded solo debut In Gumbo (released on NYC-based Plant Music in 2007), Denmark's Kasper Bjørke is thriving in the heart of the Copenhagen electronic scene. After more than a decade as a busy producer and DJ, Kasper has released his work on labels such as Plant Music, Fine, Thugfucker and V2 Records, and in addition, received a Danish Music Award for "Best Producer" for the project Filur, which he still runs with his old friend Tomas Barfod. This album is an exciting, multi-genre journey through Kasper's mature, extravagant and richly musical mind. Lashings of glittering analog synthesizer jams, warm, throbbing post-disco trips, touching, heart-felt pop songs and dark electronic club tools are all present. Kasper really went to town on this album, and each track literally overflows with first-class studio and musical ability. Bursting with live instrumentation, tape deck overdubs and an unmissable finger-on-the-pulse atmosphere, it's a treat for the ears, and in fact, all the senses. Ten uplifting, melancholic, timeless and life-affirming songs lie in store. A veritable Danish entourage of vocalists including Louise Foo (Giana Factory) and Tomas Höffding (WhoMadeWho) are featured on the album, alongside a wide selection of guest musicians. Jacob Bellens (I Got You On Tape/Murder) wrote the song and contributed the vocals and lyrics on "Young Again," the first single to be lifted from the album, which will be remixed by WhoMadeWho, Tomboy, Serge Santiago, and Lopazz & Zarook. Other remixes will follow from Jimpster, Zombie Disco Squad, and Kenton Slash Demon.

Kasper Bjørke presents the first in a package of remixes from his Standing On Top Of Utopia (HFN 004CD/LP) full-length. "Alcatraz," featuring lyrics and vocals by Jacob Bellens, is a driving, piano-led story of ghosts and children, mysticism and funk. Jimpster turns in a detail-laden passage through twisting, turning, hi-end house and blissed-out effects. Kenton Slash Demon's trippy dub-house interpretation injects a slice of classic disco action with a healthy slab of '90s attitude. Also featuring a remix by Zombie Disco Squad.
