The Desert Island EP by Black Sand (Max Durante (KYN 001EP, 2015) and his fellow Italian DJ Datch) begins with the restrained "Abyss" and "Black Sea," building a groove out of tense layers of underwater atmosphere and a tough low-end. The B-Side pushes the sound harder; the creeping drone of "Dead Sea" is tailored for DJs to gradually build a room's energy, while "High Tide" is peak-time material noticeably inspired by the '90s. Mastered by Neel at EnissLab, Rome; pressed at Optimal Media, Germany. Packaged in a house sleeve. All artwork designed by Christopher Honeywell.
