In Hiding features a carefully curated selection of the crucial compilation tracks from horror electronics/post-industrial project Burial Hex, gathering and remastering them together, striving to create a resonance between disparate sources, forming an extraordinary new experience. After nearly 20 years of activity from this restless project, many Burial Hex compilation tracks have been released, often of a very unique and high quality as Clay Ruby seemed to enjoy taking compilation submission requests as an opportunity to offer new perspectives on their already bizarre and eclectic work. Many of the tracks were from cassettes, vinyl, or digital-only releases for labels such as Brave Mysteries, Aurora Borealis, Clan Destine, Small Doses, and Buh, appearing here on CD for the first time -- or in the case of "Pentitential March," never-before released. Clay Ruby has remixed each track, in some cases re-envisioning them specifically to live together coherently in this incarnation, making this collection more like a new studio album rather than another anthology compilation. Reveling in the intimate, feral surrealism that we have come to know without parallel from this intoxicating project, In Hiding is an excellent view into the romantic Promethean theater of Burial Hex, whether for the neophyte or the adept. For fans of: Coil, SPK, Psychic TV, Trepaneringsritualen. CD in matt-laminate digipak with artwork by Nathaniel Ritter.

Horror electronics and phantasmagoric post-industrial usher in the brand-new ritual offering from Burial Hex. The impulse for Gauze is to be a prophylactic talisman and ward for the families directly involved with the Burial Hex project, though it can be effective for anyone who needs an extra layer of defense. The art, lyrics, and sound were all layered together with supersensible content generated specifically for this purpose. Beyond just protection and defense, Gauze is an invitation to transcend sclerotic ways of experiencing incarnation, by freely juxtaposing increasingly divergent forms, and reconciling all with warmth and passion. Such has been the work of the Burial Hex project since its inception, striving towards a gestalt of timeless and enduring realms via a benign spiritual interaction with conflicting beings. With Gauze, you hear the mouths of Burial Hex spit in the face of those who would reduce psychic experience and spiritual feeling to material processes, penetrating the density of human denial and cracking the electronic shell which crushes much of our humanity. RIYL: Coil, SPK, Psychic TV, Trepaneringsritualen. Digipak.

"Clayton Ruby from Wisconsin, USA, had his first releases as Burial Hex in 2007, although he started making music three years prior to that. His sound can be described as dark ambient or industrial. Burial Hex says he performs 'horror electronics to prepare for the final mystery in the twilight of the Kali Yuga,' which incorporate influences ranging from Tangerine Dream to power electronics. He has collaborated with artists such as Zola Jesus, Iron Fist Of The Sun, Kinit Her, Sylvester Anfang II, Skin Graft, Crown Of Bone, Stor, Mumber Toes, and Joshua Norton Cabal. Klanggalerie are proud to present a new album on CD that compiles two albums previously released in microscopic editions only. Assumption/Ascension was a cassette tape (in an edition of 73 copies) put out by Angst Records in 2016. On this powerful offering, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Clay Ruby and cellist Angela McJunkin gracefully weave through a shocking juxtaposition of kosmische neo-classical and power electronics. In an attempt to depict the mysteries of the 'Assumption' and 'Ascension', Burial Hex makes a harrowing musical journey that ultimately culminates in a peaceful resolution with a very uncharacteristic piece of monastic folk pastoral. Pentecost was another cassette released in 2016, this time on the Makrame Records label. Recorded live on the Vigil of Pentecost, 2016, this is what Clay says about it on Bandcamp: 'And I will show wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and the vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come.' Prepare for a dark ride!"

A third volume of the essential reissue series featuring rare and out-of-print vinyl releases from horror electronics maestro, Burial Hex. This collection goes further back in time to a more raw and singular vision, whilst still infused with passionate vocals and eire religious allusions that would eventually lead to a development of increasingly more compositional elements in the Burial Hex cycle. Collecting his sides from the split 7" with Sylvester Anfang on Aurora Borealis (2008), the split 12" with Iron First Of The Sun on Cold Spring (CSR 153LP, 2011), and taking a side each from Bagirwa Hymn on VON Archives (2009) and From The Rites Of Lazarus on Urashima (2010), Throne provides focuses on the death industrial roots of this expansive project. Without as much focus on otherworldly hybrids, yet still organically eclectic, this offering will bring the grinding grey atmospherics and the nauseating aggression of early horror electronics into focus. Artwork by Nathaniel Ritter (Kinit Her).

Burial Hex is a composition cycle of post-industrial music, dubbed "horror electronics," by Clay Ruby. With a progressive mix of influences as far-reaching as vintage industrial and power electronics, kosmische music, black metal, techno and electro, early music and contemporary classical, these dynamic compositions are simply unclassifiable. This compilation continues the stunning trajectory of the previous Cold Spring reissue collection, Book of Delusions, falling even further into the spiraling abyss of ritual music made in preparation for the Final Mysteries in the twilight of this Kali Yuga. Collecting tracks from various out-of-print vinyl releases, including In Psychic Defense, The Tower, Fantasie und Fuge, Hunger, and the highly sought-after A Kiss to Birth the Rotted Sun from the WVNDRKMMER 5xCS compilation, this volume is a welcome addition to every Burial Hex collection, as well as an ideal introduction for the horror electronics neophyte.

During the period in which Clay Ruby (also known as Burial Hex) first began working on this piece of art, he had become so completely surrounded by evil and deception that he was forced to begin summoning a particularly extreme and ancient force of protection and vitality just to make it alive through the end of 2008. Aside from spiritually fortifying Ruby's life, the complexities of these new elemental entities brought with them circumstances causing a much more rich and intense recording experience than he could have ever composed on his own. Classic horror electronics and post-industrial apocalyptic soundscapes with unsettling notes, anguished cries and voices of the dead. His most ritualistic album yet. Reissue of the extremely limited LP with bonus tracks taken from the split LPs with Kinit Her and Zola Jesus, all available on CD for the first time! All tracks have been carefully remastered.
