Shadoks Music presents a reissue of Tanks Tracks (1969) by Circulation. Most songs by the band are well-crafted with the right spirit. Not as perfect as some others on Deroy Sound Service, the original label the album was released on, Tanks Tracks is really stoned and trippy with cheesy organ and raw guitars. Circulation was formed by pupils at Bedales School, Petersfield, Hampshire, England in the late 1960s. It was an independent initiative, rather than an official school project, but was encouraged by some of the staff. The group rehearsed in the Bedales music school and performed regularly at school dances in the dining hall. The band composed its own music but also played many of the rock and blues classics of the time. It built up an enthusiastic following within the school but the band wasn't well-known outside of the school. Family and fans signed up in advance for vinyl, fifty of which were pressed by Deroy Sound Service, based in Carnforth, Lancashire. This is a real garage sound like early Velvet Underground. This is real underground...

2nd album from this UK deep house due. "Since the release of the first installment of the 'Colours' series Circulation (AKA Paul Davies and Matt Jackson) have been DJing and performing live all over the globe. The club still informs much of what Circulation do and tracks like 'Chocolate,' 'Topaz' and 'Emerald' are aimed squarely at the dancefloor. The more reflective, downtempo tracks like 'Terracotta' and 'Taupe' lifts 'Colours Two' out of the dangerous 15-Club-Bangers-On-A-CD-Collection that befalls so many dance albums."
