I Predatori Di Atlantide (AKA Atlantis Inferno) is a post-atomic movie directed by Ruggero Deodato in 1983. It narrates the adventures of Mike Ross (Christopher Connelly), Washington (Malik Farrakhan) and of a group of characters bound to the events revolving around the sinking of a Soviet submarine, close to Florida shores. A series of twists will bring the group on an island, just submerged from the abyss which is the mythical Atlantis. The score, unreleased (aside from a 7" vinyl from the '80s featuring the song "Black Inferno,") is finally integrally available, displaying a magnificent electronic style in the prevalent mood of many of the De Angelis' brothers' scores of that decade such as Alien 2 sulla terra or dopo la caduta di New York. A much-requested title by fans of the composers, Beat Records put an end to the waiting thanks to this release featuring a jewel case edition, mastering by Enrico De Gemini, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini, and derailing liner notes by eclectic musical critic Fabio Babini. Limited edition to 500 copies.

Digitmovies presents, for the first time in a complete edition in a 3CD box, six OSTs by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis, composed for television between 1972 and 1975 and taken from the archive of the historic RCA. The beloved brothers, who had already been active for some years for cinema with such famous soundtracks as "Per grazia ricevuta," "Continuavano a chiamarlo Trinità ," "...e poi lo chiamarono il magnifico," "Più forte ragazzi," "Trastevere," and preceding by a year the worldwide success of "Sandokan" (1976), composed beautiful OSTs whose main theme was released in the '70s by RCA only on singles, but which we present here in their entirety, thanks to the masters of the original mono and stereo sessions archived at Universal Music Publishing Ricordi. Through sixty-nine tracks, the listener will travel through fascinating sound dimensions: beat, rock, progressive, folk, and experimental, alternating romantic themes with dramatic and mysterious ones that demonstrate the enormous talent of Guido & Maurizio De Angelis, then young composers, had gained a lot of experience in soundtracks, thanks to work done for years with other colleagues. This box also contains featured versions released at the time, such as the famous "Verde" from Quaranta giorni di libertà , "London Town" from Dedicato ad una coppia, "Majorana Theme" from Ipotesi sulla scomparsa di un fisico atomico, "Carolis Theme" from Sul filo della memoria, "Don Minzoni Theme" from Delitto di regime (Il caso Don Minzoni), and "Naples oggi" from Il Marsigliese. This box, produced with love, fills a hole in the huge discography of Guido & Maurizio De Angelis and Digitmovies dedicates it to their immeasurable Musical Art.

Beat Records, in collaboration with Cabum presents the original motion picture soundtrack of L'allenatore nel pallone, for the first time ever on a colored 180 heavy weight vinyl (green, marmorized). It's the story of Oronzo Canà (Lino Banfi), an unemployed football coach that is hired by Longobarda's president, Mr. Borlotti (Camillo Milli), whose team just arrived in the top Italian football league. On the lookout for new talent, our hero is sent to Brazil to recruit some top players. Negotiations for hiring Junior and Socrates quickly fail, and events bring Longobarda's trainer to watch a football game on a pitch close to Maracanà stadium. There, aided by Giginho and Bergonzoni -- two unlikely talent scouts (Gigi e Andrea) -- he finds young Aristoteles (Urs Althaus), Brazilian talent of the ginga. Thus, the incredible Longobarda adventure begins in the highest Italian league, the A series, with his "B zone" scheme. After an uncertain start, the team begins to score points, carried by Aristoteles' talent, but soon problems arise that undermine Canà ambitions. By the end of the championship, before the final match against Atlanta, Oronzo Canà will have to make a difficult decision on which the destiny of him and his team will depend. A soundtrack lies firmly in the pop key, with carioca influences (Aristoteles' saudade theme), easygoing cues that color the comedic aspect of the movie (such as the main titles), the wonderful "Mundialito" (already featured in some other scores but made famous by this movie) and many other sonorities.

Quartet Records, in collaboration with Gruppo Sugar, presents the world premiere release of the catchy score by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis for Lando Buzzanca's sex-comedy vehicle, San Pasquale Baylonne Protettore Delle Donne (1976). The film, directed by Luigi Filippo D'Amico, follows petty criminal Giuseppe Cicerchia (Buzzanca) who can't catch a break following separation from his wife, Iolanda. That is, until he moves to the isolated mountain town of Busolone, where the crafty con man finds the recipe for success. The score by the De Angelis brothers is almost a musical sequel to their score for Per La Grazia Ricevuta (1971), a film with which San Pasquale Bayllone has much in common. A folk/pop hybrid approach characterizes the whole score, mixed with the brothers' indisputable gift for melody and lovely, heart-warming tunes. A religiously inspired, folksy waltz serves as the main theme. Mastered by Claudio Fuiano from stereo session master tapes provided by Gruppo Sugar. CD comes in a richly illustrated package featuring liner notes by Gergely Hubai that cover both the film and score.

Milano Trema: La Polizia Vuole Giustizia (aka The Violent Professionals) directed by Sergio Martino in 1973. The movie is placed in a violent Milan where in tangible way the alarming and fool of fears mood reigns that characterized life in the big Italian cities in the so called "Anni Di Piombo" ("Lead Years"). Commissioner Caneparo who, after being suspended in his service, for his unorthodox ways, he wants getting revenge for a colleague's death. The fearless cop introduces himself in the criminal world, finding favor with a criminal gang -- after a series of bloody robberies, very fast chases in the streets of Milan he succeeds to discover the gang's boss, a publisher who wants to support a dictatorial regime. Martino with sane and careful job succeeds to realize a fluent movie, full of rhythm and without dead points; also, he succeeds on recreating the violent and full of fears mood of those years, through the valid performance of the actors. The images are brilliantly background with the score by brothers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis who have written a memorable monothematic original soundtrack dominated by a melancholic main theme performed by Moog accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Gianfranco Plenizio that is introduced in the first track. This leit motif is reprised continuously in the OST almost to follow all the moods of commissioner Caneparo in his bitter story of revenge, with fascinating variations. At that time RCA released just a 45rpm single (Rca OC 39) containing the cover version of "Blue Song", the main theme sung by Susy & Guy that Beat Records include on CD for the absolute first time and "And Life Goes On" sung by Susy Lion. Mastering by Claudio Fuiano. Liner notes by Marina Crescenti. Graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.

Almost 40 years after its theatrical debut, Cabum and Beat Records release for the first time ever the complete score for the movie Alien 2 Sulla Terra (1980, Ciro Ippolito), one of the most obscure films in the Italian horror/sci-fi realm, an apocryphal sequel to the iconic Alien by Ridley Scott (1979), released just a few months prior. One of the most sought-after soundtracks by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis fans, it is a prominent sample of the experimental style of the two composers that would feature prominently throughout the '80s. Their kaleidoscopic score begins with a country flavor and evolves with an astonishing electronic timber, sometimes morbid and obsessive. This release features nearly 80 minutes of music, complete with two cues from Uno Sceriffo Extraterrestre, Poco Extra Molto Terrestre (1979) that are used in the first part of the movie to build tension in a particular scene. This reissue was mastered by Enrico De Gemini thanks to the discovery of first-generation masters in Cabum's archives. L'Ultimo Squalo (The Great White) is a 1981 movie directed by Enzo G. Castellari, an Italian reply to the horror genre dedicated to shark movies, a trend that started a few years before with Spielberg's Jaws (1975). In this movie, there is an enormous white shark disrupting the summer of a coastal city in Georgia, in a crescendo of tension and horror that will end in a terrible 1-on-1 between the monster and Peter Benton (James Franciscus), protagonist of the movie and unwitting shark hunter. The music, composed by the De Angelis brothers, Guido and Maurizio, contributes to the obsessive and thrilling moments in which the shark appears, dramatic and melodic when the story becomes more emotional. The wonderful score is also connoted by music by the two composers sung by the vocalist Ywonne Wilkins, plus a cue taken from the OST Uno Sceriffo Extraterrestre Poco Extra Molto Terrestre that provides great variety to the listening experience. Aside from being released here for the first time in any format, the score of L'Ultimo Squalo marks the beginning of a tighter collaboration between Beat Records and Cabum. The two historical labels will give life to a series of releases dedicated to wonderful music produced through the iconic De Angelis bros' label, a series that will offer a righteous tribute to these wonderful scores, much loved and long-awaited, popular staples of the two composer's live concerts. Mastering by Enrico De Gemini. CD version includes a 12-page booklet; liner notes and graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.
