Two of Finland's most respected house music producers, Jori Hulkkonen and Tuomas Salmela, get together for their Get Physical debut. Discemi combines Jori's love of deep, melodic techno and house with Tuomas' tracky, electrohouse grooves. The title track starts the EP in tough mode, powered by a prowling bassline and tight claps, with scary metallic techno rhythms. "Silver Ghost" still has a moody, mysterious feeling, but its bleepy, electronic bass is more groovy and chugs along to the sound of sweet, chiming melodies. Close your eyes and imagine the bumping funk of underground Chicago with the evocative hooks of European trance and you're close to the sound of "The Deepity Pt. 2."

It's likely that you've had the pleasure of listening to the work of Jori Hulkkonen over the last 10 years (including 5 artist LPs for top French label F-Com), or maybe you sang along to his chart-busting duet with Tiga in 2001, 'Sunglasses At Night' -- Jori's partner in crime is Tuomas Salmela, who usually works under the name Phonogenic. His output for 20:20 Vision, Guidance, Moodmusic, Dance Electric and Kickboxer put him in the premier league of production. As Discemi they take their groove to the next level, already witnessed on their debut last year on Get Physical Music.
