Twenty-five years: That's the amount of time that has passed since the first Dole & Kom EP went on rotation in the club world. Ever since the duo managed to keep a straight line -- yet to take unexpected turns again and again. Elements of techno and house have always been a part of this trip, like sheet lightning on the horizon -- but at the end of the day none of these genres is an appropriate description for the sound of Dole & Kom. Melodic enigma and subtle drama, heavyweight bass frequencies, ecstatic intricacy, and whipping hi-hat showers: These are some of the most prominent features of Dole & Kom's debut album. It consists of exclusively new tracks, and all of them reflect a deep and unbroken passion for the dancefloor, multiplied with a remarkable amount of experience. Three tracks have been created in collaboration with befriended vocal artists, apart from these you'll hear Dole & Kom as pure as it gets. In other words: Dance music that stimulates the listener on both an emotional and an intellectual level, dance music that provides both depth and uplift. Features Anduze and Kijana.

The bouncy beats and booming bass of Dole & Kom's track "Phara Oh" proclaim an unmistakable message: it's all about the dancefloor. A melodic torrent accumulates with each and every bar before it finally erupts and cascades through the arrangement in shiny streams. Then exotic singing starts and the track takes off. The remix by The Glitz merges the organic warmth of the original into explosive funk. "Away" features weightless delays, drifting sounds and subliminal siren-singing. Kombinat100's remix draws its hypnotic power from lively percussion and a distinct feeling of deepness.

Warm tone colors, vivid rhythms and a proper pinch of hit potential vibrate from the grooves of this vinyl by Dole & Kom. Striking up a serenade on their "Quetschkommode," they are obviously inspired by the melodies of South America, complemented by dynamic rhythms. "Home" starts off very minimal, but it is growing bigger and bigger with every beat. On the flip, Mollono.Bass employs his jiggling, offbeat boost and sparking hi-hat cascades, driving the Latino-euphoria of "Quetschkommode" through dubby echo chambers.

NEUM 032EP

"Dole & Kom return for a single release number 4 on Neutonmusic. The 12" opens with 'Class of '94,' which has all the necessary ingredients of a great dance track. It bounces along at a nice pace, it is well-produced and it has enough variation to keep the listener occupied over its full length. 'Analogue Activity' is a classic house cut, which will delight fans of 20/20 Visions, Sebo K, Tigerskin, Gene Hunt, Music For Freaks or Jamie Anderson. A wicked tune! Loaded with an optimistic Chicago feel, ten tons of heavy bass lines and haunting melodies, we are pretty sure P. Diddy will dig this one at his next Ibiza visit as well."
