Through the course of time, DSR Lines (David Edren) never loses his intimate and profound connection to the universe of modular synths. These recordings, made during 2014 in a residence at the Cem/Worm studio in Rotterdam, represent a further magical compendium of his Organic Electronic Music. In particular, here he draws from his expressive arsenal the cosmic and galactic potential of the Arp 2500, which happily floating throughout. A rigorous magician of vaporous, oscillating patterns, sidereal frequencies, nebulous dust; an explorer of inter-zonal paths, he unveils new dreamlike dimensions en-route to unfold planets. Between Kraut-Kosmische accelerations and a personal approach of gentle minimalism, he always forges rare atmospheres of rhythmic pulsation, full of enveloping, spherical and spiraling sounds, luminous and radiant in their hypnotic aura, or magnificently ecstatic and ascending. Originally released by Ultra Eczema.

David Edren confirms himself as a cosmic courier and wizard of synths with the organic electronic music included in Venndiagram. Released for the first time on LP, it appeared only on tape in 2013. The sound remains a pure balance between vibrating oscillations, modular frequencies, and rhythmic pulsations, but the general imagery changes. The main theme is the intersection of circular and geometric shapes and the minimal and clear notion which they represent. Edren imagines reverberated coordinates of galactic sines and cosines, interprets sounds and distortions as trajectories, melodic patterns like pyramidal plastic inter-penetrations. All is led by a primitive impulse to the combination of lines, shapes, figures, ropes or tangents, diameters, squares or triangles. Along these inter-zonal paths, he forges rare atmospheres full of enveloping spherical and spiraling sounds, luminous and radiant in their hypnotic aura, or magnificently ecstatic and ascensional. It's much more than math or geometry, but an alternative visionary way to conceive the world (maximal and minimal) in other manifestations of space and time.

Black Sweat Records present a vinyl issue of DSR Lines' Spoel, which appeared only on cassette in 2014. This new double LP edition features three unreleased tracks. David Edren's organic minimal electronics are never majestic or magniloquent (like Schulze or Froese), and never neurotic or aggressive for that matter. It is a soft music, delineating echoes of sacred geometry in the emotional balance between oscillations, frequency modulations, and rhythmic pulsations. Diamonds, mineral combinations, emerald luminescence, hydrogen cascades, and stratospheric colors, like on Jupiter and Saturn... a dance of asteroids and meteorites in orbit, and satellites of silent harmonies. But Spoel is not just a departure to the unknown space. It's more of an attempt to create a miniature description of another macrobiotic life of "unfolding planets," which is first interior, then exterior. A refined touch with an array of analog instruments creates small sketches of cellular symphony, like in an anatomical trip of hidden micro-bodies, listening to blood streams, vibrational motions of Prana, muscle strings, or air passages. The general tone has little in common with the "oriental void", but there is an evident desire for quiet as a prelude to the Satori. All this makes Spoel a great micro-tonal investigation work and connects Edren with great visionaries such as Micheal Hoenig, JD Emmanuel, or Tonto's Expanding Head Band.
