The first drop of some of Flava D's old school instrumental grime tracks. "Berlin": The infamous instrumental to the D Double E Berlin Freestyle from 2015 that has over a million plays on social media. "War Dub": Featured in the grime producer clash in 2013, against JME, Jammer, Footsie, Teddy, Rude Kid, and Preditah. "Robot": Wiley used this for his Step 18 Freestyle back in 2013. "Plate": One of Flava D's very early grime beats, that's had a lot of requests, a favorite for Rinse FM DJs. The first is Flava D's White Label Series. Mixed and mastered in 2020. Edition of 500; white label.

2020 repress. Flava D's remix of Rebound X's 2006 grime classic "Rhythm & Gash" took the clubs by storm in 2016 and amassed millions of plays across SoundCloud and YouTube, not to mention Flava D's worldwide performances -- both solo and as part of TQD, her trio with DJ Q and Royal T. That remix is backed here with "Searching" and "Whistler," both taken from Flava D's 2016 FABRICLIVE 88 CD (FABRIC 176CD). The B-side showcases her more mellow side, revisiting the style of her 2013 Butterz debut, Hold On/Home (BR 012EP).

The VIP series on Butterz is all about the artist taking two of their popular tracks and exploring the ideas further than the original versions. For Flava D's edition, she reworked "Home" and "Hold On" from her first outing earlier in 2012 on Butterz at the Red Bull Studios in London alongside the Butterz crew. "Hold On" takes an aggressive turn with P Jam throwing down the breaks and Royal-T lending a hand with the bass. Flava's new take on "Home" showcases how much she has developed since joining the Butterz stable. Made with the whole crew, you can get a sense of a willingness to wow the room, especially in the second half, where it takes a darker turn. This marks the start of a slew of releases from Flava D and the rest of the Buttterz camp to close 2013 following the announcement of their new residency at Fabric.

"Hold On" is a spacious but melodic garage-banger made popular via Flava D's appearance on the Boiler Room. Across six minutes, she bridges the gap between grime and garage in a similar vein to Royal-T's remix of TRC's "Oo Aa Ee" in 2011. "Home" has been worked by the Rinse FM and 1xtra DJs, and is a punchier 4x4 effort designed for peak-time club action. This Red Bull Music Academy graduate clearly has a bright future ahead.
