Prime Sequences is the latest album by DJ and electronic music producer GummiHz, real name Alexander Tsotsos. Alex has an ear for what he describes as elastic frequencies, thus gummi-hertz! In other words, low bass lines, airy synth phrases, and shuffle rhythms, playfully arranged within loose forms. A philosophy that comes across throughout this long player. Elements fall in and out of order, time swings back and forth, all together in perfect harmony. Pushing the boundaries of what has become his signature sound, a fusion of house and techno all the way from Berlin to Detroit. This package features underground music coming straight from the heart, or the Hertz more appropriately. The story unfolds within no less than nine tracks showcasing Alex's versatility in making waves. The opening track titled "Berlinopolis" is a sonic portrait of the city of Berlin, where Alex lives since more than a decade. A smooth soundscape produced by combining abstract melodies with field recordings of the city's ambience. "Second Wave" follows airy jazz chords and drum parts to launch the listener into trajectory. The title track "Prime Sequence" is a Detroit brewed piece with some Berlin minimalism rawness in the rhythm section. Next up comes "Submerge", a tight and hypnotic affair carrying the right amount of subtle release. "Prime Dub" dives deeper into the frequency spectrum. "Proto Sequence" follows a simple still infectious groove laced with various modulations. Inspired by proto-house motifs pioneered by artists like Chi-town's Ron Hardy. "Metafunk" reaches out to Berlin's club culture at its core. "Mindloop" is a track written for the afterhours looping state of mind. Another minimal house cut with a fair dose of psychedelic sound design. Lastly, "Descension" relaxes the mood through deep pulsating rhythms and playful arpeggios. Prime Sequences covers a wide range of styles like ambient electronics, peak time house, and techno, as well as seriously effed-up afterhours minimalism. Made for both DJs and music lovers, this is the second long player by GummiHz to come out on vinyl after his debut album Sleepless Nights back in 2009.

Groove Is In The Hertz is GummiHz's new record on Claap featuring two minimal rockers. Anthemic "Aerini" is on side A and "straight outta Berlin" groove "Out Out" graces side B. The silence is over; GummiHz is back. A dedicated frequency explorer, GummiHz follows a philosophy that making music should always be adventurous, interesting and fun. For this reason, he has dedicated the last couple of years to rebuilding his studio setup and now it is time to share the fruits of this expedition. Groove Is In The Hertz includes a selection of recordings, showcasing the perspective of GummiHz on minimal house and techno. The series is split into parts with part one featuring two minimal cuts. "Aerini", on side A, offers eleven-and-a-half minutes of minimal techno bliss. Anthemic voices combined with live recordings set a Balearic atmosphere, while sitting elegantly on top of finely-programmed rhythmics and basslines. Flip it over and "Out Out" brings out even more rhythm to the game.

Two heavy dancefloor tracks spanning from acid to dub house/techno. "Acid jazz" is a serious dancefloor weapon with a characteristic killer TB 303 bassline and airy jazz piano licks, produced in 2010. "8AM groove" is a dub cut that, with typical GummiHz finesse, rolls effortlessly between Detroit house and techno.

Curated and mixed by label owner Alex Tsotsos aka GummiHz, the label's first compilation marks a major milestone in the label's story so far. A strong cast of producers here with Jerome Sydenham, Jimpster, D'Julz, Santonio Echols, Manoo, Oskar Offermann, and Claap core artists John Dimas and Nikola Gala. All have stepped up with some excellent interpretations on earlier Claap releases, focused strongly on the dancefloor. The result is some stunning productions highlighting Claap's pure club sound experience. Alles Claap Vol. 1 carries the GummiHz characteristic mixing signature along with previously-unreleased material plus a GummiHz exclusive new track. Alles Claap is a story about the label's past, present and future all taking place simultaneously. A DJ at heart, Alex Tsotsos has built a strong reputation for his characteristic mixing style and diverse productions. During his usually extensive DJ sets he is known to effortlessly bring together tracks in constant evolving transitions. Having performed at various locations worldwide from big rooms to intimate beach parties, his sets have covered most musical styles. His GummiHz project focuses on cutting-edge house and techno music for clubs. Alex's natural talent places him amongst the top of Greece's modern export in electronic music and a well-respected figure amongst the international dance community. Tsotsos started to build his own creative hub by launching Claap after working exclusively with Berlin's Mobilee records on his first productions. An uncompromising creative spirit, Alex has also released plenty of productions on labels like Real Tone records, Jerome Sydenham's Ibadan Records, Defected and more highly-respected platforms under different projects. In just a few years, Claap has released more than a few tracks that have gained their place in the hearts and bags of many, projecting exciting new talent in the global circuit through a strong focus on the music above all else. The result is a plethora of quality dance tracks by label boss GummiHz on one side along with amazing records by Claap household names like Nikola Gala and John Dimas in just a couple of years. Songs like "Secret Voyage" by GummiHz, "Quick Dance" by John Dimas and "Oasy" by Nikola Gala being only a few examples. Adding to the bill are exciting newcomers the Square Room Heroes, very promising producer Quell, talented young artist BODJ and Moire Patterns. These inspiring artists belong to an exciting new wave of dance producers.

With the first compilation titled Alles Claap Vol. 1 label-head GummiHz has invited some of his favorite producers to remix songs from the label's catalog. This is the first single in the series, featuring two great remixes from two constant forces in the club scene -- Jimpster and D'Julz. Jimpster gives a totally new spin on "White Flowers" by GummiHz and Nikola Gala. D'Julz has cut, flipped and reversed all essential elements in GummiHz's "Ruff Passage" to a groove that keeps rolling non-stop.

Claap label-head GummiHz is back with four new cuts welcoming the summer heat. "Head Rush" is a captivating piece reminiscent of that '90s NY house sound -- a nod to the past with a touch of now. "Secret Voyage" taps into a more Balearic atmosphere -- a captivating arpeggio frames a very elegant arrangement of organic rhythmic elements. "Ruff Passage" is a dubbier cut reminiscent of ruff house producers of yore.

Part 1 of this double 12" series is a radical departure for GummiHz and Mobilee and is a portrait of the artist from a variety of angles. "Sunshine Dub" and "Bang" fuse the samples, cut-offs, and filtered loops of French house with an almost Balearic, hypnotic twist. On the flip, we get a snapshot of GummiHz at his most somber: "Love Call," featuring vocals from GummiHz himself, has a jackin' house beat and chilling, manipulated lyrics for a cold-blooded vibe.

This is part 2 of GummiHz' Sleepless Night 12" series. "Sleepless Nights" operates on its own level, as interlocking, hypnotic synth lines form the background for chanson-esque vocals from Malena Perez. "One Groove & Synth" is a driving, tried-and-true groove.

This is GummiHz's fifth EP for Mobilee. Under The Sun rapidly draws you in with ceremonial beats and hidden hypnotic layers that slowly rise to the surface. Innocent, yet quite provocative, "Under The Sun" will bring audiences to an emotional peak on the dancefloor. "You And Me" (feat. Ruxsandra) features a more rhythmic composition. A female presence impels the audience to the dancefloor with swaying hips. A sensual, slightly dark and minimal arrangement with a dynamic organ thrust.

Mobilee presents the second installment of its compilation and DJ mix series. Back To Back Vol. Two is a two-pronged probe at the heart of the Mobilee aesthetic: CD1 is an unmixed disc of essential selections from the label, all appearing for the first time on CD, while CD2 takes the listener on a DJ's guided tour of the catalog in its living, breathing, electrifying flux. If you still think of Mobilee as simply a "minimal" label, then CD1 should change your mind. Opening with Pan-Pot featuring Vicenzo's lush, piano-led "Faces," the disc presents the label at its most melodic. Most of the tracks are from 2008, but not all: Sebo K's now-classic "Too Hot" comes from the very first Mobilee 12", and is finally available for the vinyl-impaired. Other highlights include label-head Anja Schneider's liquid and hypnotic "Belize," Sleeper Thief's heart-rendingly deep "Cenotes," Marc Antona's caffeinated and off-kilter "One More Sugar," Marco Resmann's haunted "Gouache," and Jennifer Cardini's restrained (yet raving) "August In Paris." Rounding out this impeccable collection, are two exclusive tracks from GummiHz, presented here for the first time in any format. GummiHz -- aka London-based Alexander Tsotsos -- takes the reins on CD2, delivering a seductive mix of no fewer than 27 tracks from Mobilee's catalog, all re-edited and re-combined into a single session that positively ripples with energy. Some edits were made in Logic, but for spontaneity's sake, the mix was performed in real-time in Ableton Live. Even serious collectors of Mobilee have never heard these cuts played quite like this, making Back To Back Vol. Two an essential purchase for long-time fans and new listeners alike. If CD1 shows a more sensitive side of the label, CD2 presents Mobilee at its most muscular. Clockwork polyrhythms, spellbinding sequences, psychoactive leads, riveting riffs, and washes of background ambience swirl together into a streamlined groove machine. A very special mix, for a very special label. Other artists include: Exercise One, Duplex 100, Prosumer, Magda and Marcin Czubala.

"Desire" sounds dark in the hands of GummiHz aka Alexander Tsotsos. As restrained as ever, GummiHz lets the tension build while static rustles in the underbrush. A gravelly voice mutters "desire" over and over, and it's clear that this is a psychodrama of the bleakest kind. "Hypnotize" bases a menacing melody on the tritone (aka the "devil's interval"), but a nimble bass line and a sprightly beat counterbalance the creepy-crawly high end. Keep your eyes on the pendulum and let go.

This is Greek artist Alex Tsotsos' third release on Mobilee, and Bar Loca EP is the first time 4 tracks have appeared on a Mobilee 12". As Gummihz, he keeps his concept of unnatural bouncing, twisting and elastic groove patterns alive, delivering some booty shaking frequencies. "Temptation" is a layered atmospheric piece of music with a steady, tight drum arrangement. "A Casa" is a simple groove with a dominant sub melody. "Los Los" has an energetic groove and a synth line that pays tribute to an older Detroit sound. "Twisted" is a sublimely moody groove -- the perfect tool for the dancefloor.

"GummiHz's second release on Mobilee comes straight from the bottom of his heart. The Concept of Modern Dynamic is based on developing grooves by manipulating the dynamics of a sound, rather than composing melodies. A1. 'Gomma Elastica' consists of a steady groove with a few surprises taking place in the sonic spectrum and a dominating FM tone evolving throughout the arrangement. It is the kind of tune that delivers pure freakness on the dance floor. B1. 'The First Time' is set in a deeper atmosphere with a sweet electric piano groove appearing in the end, reminiscent of the starting time of deep house. Agony develops during the first minutes of the track, leading to a relaxed groove in theme with the sweet summer breeze."

"London based GummiHz a.k.a Alexander Tsotsos of Greek origin, started a long-term relationship with electronic music as a DJ in 1994. For the last four years he has been producing tracks to incorporate his own ideas to offer a more unique sound to his DJ-sets and also to perform live. Alex has a passion for producing elastic/rubbery frequencies for bodies to respond to, hence the nickname of GummiHz. Main influences are the minimal house and techno scenes of the past, the present and the future. He is part of the fast growing minimal scene around Argy, Ed Davenport and some more talented musicians from London. The A-Side track 'Isolate' is a percussive minimal groove monster, opening up the mouth with a radiation emergency rave signal from time to time. Dangerous! 'A.A.K.N.Y.' on the other side has a similar concept with a lot of tension build ups and releases in its layers."
