"The Hundred In The Hands have emerged from their dimly-lit New York studio with a self-produced meditation on separation and reunion, love nearly lost and the long night back to it; a chronicle of late-hour pining awash in digital glow and urban buzzing. The first single from Red Night, Keep It Low is a grinding jam that foregrounds the sounds of timeless Industrial and Krautrock tracks, whilst maintaining an undeniably affecting vocal performance from singer Eleanore Everdell. Exclusive to this 12" is previously unreleased b-side 'Mountains,' a dubbed-out track with lurid vocal inflections."

"Limited to 300. Following the release of their album, New York's The Hundred In The Hands' drop a slice of insidiously effective avant pop, in the form of new single Commotion. The single also includes fresh remixes by the illusive duo Tiger & Woods and DFA's Capracara."

12" vinyl version, printed inner sleeve. "This Desert strikes a path that touches on elegant French pop, blissed out dub, house and post-punk. The 6-track EP sets the stage for deeper explorations on a full-length this fall (2010). The Brooklyn-based duo consisting of Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell creates emotionally charged and intensely driving music, which harks back to the most classic of dance songs from NYC's storied underground. The band describes the EP as, 'The more ethereal, gauzy side of our tastes; the Summertime-Gothic and dreamy tracks we made thinking they'd go well with open hydrants and looks that kill.' But The Hundred in the Hands' self-description belies more than just a dance band. Everdell and Friedman bend and blend styles, sounds and eras into something that doesn't feel confused, fake or forced. It just feels fun."
