ESCP 003EP
Portuguese artist Ka§par gives Parisian label Escapade its third release. The four tracks span across a wide range of electronic sounds, telling a story that calls on many emotions. "Wail Of A Loon" opens the record with an experimental atmosphere. After this laidback introduction, Ka§par goes into a much stronger style: the energy and catchy, twirling melody of "Rigged" make it a total banger. "Vital" is the perfect tune to warm-up a dancefloor, thanks to a swinging rhythm, mesmerizing vocal samples, and funky synth lines. "Alma D'Ouro" rounds up the record with strong jazzy vibes.

MNSW 002EP
The Midnight Shift White Label series, dedicated to full EPs from Midnight Shift artists, follows Eddie Niguel's emotive, personal The Journey (MNSW 001EP, 2015) with Sisyphean Rage by Portuguese DJ and producer Ka§par. The ruff 'n' tuff house-meets-techno tumble of "Ravisher" is ripe for the dancefloor. Multitalented Detroit producer and DJ Jerry the Cat, percussionist on several Theo Parrish productions, dons his singer-lyricist cap for the personal anthem "Let Me Be," a revival gem backed by Ka§par's take on electro. Kirk Degiorgio closes the EP with his less-is-more instrumental remix of "Let Me Be."
