KOM 265EP
Olivier Grégoire aka Kolombo presents Don't Be Shy, his new 12" on Kompakt, and his finest work to date. "Don't Be Shy" sees Kolombo following his own dogma: he's clearly not shying away from grand gestures, employing swelling synths and a majestically trotting beat. "Sustain" takes over the frequencies, perfectly building upon the A-side's reassured mood and carefully cranking up the emotional volume with faster beats and bigger melodies. Both tracks warmly invite you to get into their groove.

2DIY4 005EP
Belgium-based Kolombo debuts on this Diynamic sub-label. "My Own Business" has a strong kick and bass to start things off, and the tension on this release rises on every track. "Whatever U Like" tightens the style with melodic basslines. "Busta Ass" is a melodious ear-worm not only fit for the club. "Dancing On The Floor" is the track with the most energy.

KOM POP017EP
Kolombo pays tribute to the spirit of slo-mo Belgian new beat with this EP. The title track is a 105 bpm-driven concoction of classic house and Balearic disco led by the voice of '80s pop maestro Howard Jones in his memorable hit "Everlasting Love." "Rescue Me" shines with a disco-fied raucousness. Michael Mayer embraces the grandiosity of the original, setting it off with a stripped-down, classic Chicago house rhythm that is simply untouchable.

TURBO 061EP
"Kolombo puts out a lot of records. Some of them I love, most of them are too housey and boring for me. His stuff always sounds great, but teeters dangerously on that line of commercial club music... reminding me of overly groomed men and cologne blowing in the smoke machine. That sounds bad, but it's the truth, the same as it's true that these two tracks are total standouts and have been effective weapons lately for the few Turbo VIP's that have them. 'Sniff' takes his, THE sound of '08 (Popof, anyone?) to the next level by punctuating each white-noise breakdown with a giant sample of a human sniff! Genius... and perhaps the first true blow anthem ever in techno. This should be number one on Beatport. 'Pique Nique' may have an annoying name and start off a bit boring, but the breakdown is a game changer, modulating from chirpy fairy wiggle-house down to a sub bass groove that achieves the requisite hands-in-the-air factor without making anyone feel they need to play Crookers for the rest of the night (note: we love Crookers... Ciao, ragazzi!!) That's it and that's all... two great tracks, no lame remixes... enjoy!"

VIVE 011EP
"This is the third part of the Boulevard Cartier vinyl album. It's massive release supported by plenty of jocks like Stephan Bodzin, Namito, John Acquaviva, Tiga, Miss Kittin, Marc Romboy, Chloé, Laurent Garnier and Danny Howells to name here a few. Watch out for the last part of this incredible and forward variety of sounds, from dark electro to minimal, with touches of italo-disco, while keeping his electro house feel throughout. Supported by: Martin Landsky, Marc Romboy, Miss Kittin, John Acquaviva, Laurent Garnier."

"This is part two of the vinyl sampler containing tracks of Kolombo´s album Boulevard Cartier which is massively supported by plenty of jocks like John Acquaviva, Tiga, Miss Kittin, Marc Romboy, Chloé, Laurent Garnier and Danny Howells to name here a few. All three tracks convince due to their precise and distinctive kickin' beats which make Olivier Grégoire such an unique producer and DJ."
