TRESOR 293LP
Jonas Kopp and Tresor have shared a bright and prosperous musical relationship for some years now, propelled further forward with Photon Belt. Following Jonas's debut album Beyond the Hypnosis in 2014 (TRESOR 273D/LP), accompanied by the Red Plented EP (TRESOR 272EP, 2014) and the HHH EP (TRESOR 279EP, 2015), the Argentinian artist delivers a new full-length to the Berlin's legendary imprint. This new opus is dedicated to a cosmic phenomenon our solar system experiences every 11,000 years. The photon belt is a band of intense light energy into which our star and its planets moves into for a duration of about 2,000 years. As part of the Pledian star group, our sun circles around the star named Alcyon, itself located at all times in the photon belt. Other stars, including ours, move in-and-out of it for varying periods of time, depending on their orbit. Our way into the belt has already begun and will continue over the next five years. The result? Mankind in its darkest hour paralleled with consciousness rising to further dimensions. Expect a thoughtful and mature labor from Jonas Kopp's mesmerizing ten-track journey, on which the Argentine's contemporary methods in production meet traditional techno constituents. Throughout the album, different sidereal interludes arch over to his Telluric Lines side project, which he presented at the 2016 edition of the Berlin Atonal festival. Crucial titles such as "Galactic Core", "Aile", the eponymous "Photon Belt" and "5D World" are set to leave a large footprint in the continuous sequence of electronic music.

TRESOR 279EP
Argentine producer Jonas Kopp follows his 2014 debut album Beyond the Hypnosis (TRESOR 273CD) with the powerful, club-oriented HHH EP. "Khaa" opens with a deep, pumping bass as schizophrenic chords intermingle with hi-hats; "Nahn" unfolds in parallel structure, cheeky yet with a smoother bassline. "Hank" unfurls with a thunderous, stomping bass that cracks upon each beat while sinister atmospheres appear overhead. On "Sinstro," fraught chords patter on the surface while spatial, airy moods climax throughout the piece.

TRESOR 273LP

Double LP version. If there's one thing Jonas Kopp has proven over the last decade it's that he can turn his hand to just about anything. Since debuting on Pfirter's revered MindTrip Music back in 2006, the Buenos Aires native has managed to rack up a rich and compelling discography, coursing with ease through electronic music's various forms. From warm Chicago house through to deep, dark and driving techno on labels like Deeply Rooted House, Stroboscopic Artefacts and more, Kopp's hypnotic and heady sentiment has remained the red thread throughout, which has allowed him to flourish as one of techno's more liberal dancefloor purveyors. More recently, for Illian Tape he strayed out of the ring entirely to deliver two billowing, orchestral-sized ambient works; proof that there's still plenty more to come from someone already so well-versed and dexterous in his craft. It's high-time then, that Jonas Kopp should present his first full-length effort. Beyond the Hypnosis weaves Kopp's discursive repertoire into a single and concise narrative, covering both familiar ground and exploring new and spellbinding territories, along with just a hint of cosmic neo-retroism that makes this a welcomed addition to the Tresor catalog. Despite having just a single release on the label so far, Kopp has been a firm fixture at the club since 2011. Jonas Kopp is the next in line of contemporary luminaries that Tresor proudly welcomes to the fold. Beyond the Hypnosis is a techno album as ambiguous and unrestrained as its astrological muse. This is Kopp at his most wayfaring with titles like "Seven" and "Green Square" showing off more of the producer's flair for spacey, subaqueous music. There is of course plenty of floor-facing material as well, delivered with less stringent functionality than we've seen from him before. The perverted "Tau Ceti," for example, or the basement-dwelling single "Red Plented" have been tarnished with the same brush as this album's more dreamier moments, setting them apart from stand-alone experiments to work collectively as a symbiotic and fully-fleshed whole.

Jonas Kopp's Red Plented EP weaves Kopp's discursive repertoire into a single and concise narrative, covering both familiar ground and exploring new and spellbinding territories, along with just a hint of cosmic neo-retroism that makes this a welcomed edition to the Tresor catalog. Despite having just a single release on the label so far, "X" featuring on DJ Hell's 2013 Kern Vol. 2 compilation, Kopp has been a firm fixture at the club since 2011. CURLE 043EP
Jonas Kopp made his Curle debut in 2008 and has been a regular guest with releases and remixes ever since. Desire will be his third full EP on Curle Recordings. He has already released on Spectral Sound, Ostgut Ton, Stroboscopic Artefacts, and DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted House label, and of course, on his own Traut and Manzel imprints. The smooth title-track will definitely appeal to fans of Deliric. "Reject" and "Chaos" are both more straightforward techno outings.

CURLE 020EP
Jonas Kopp first impressed the DJ league and techno fans worldwide in 2007 with his incredible remix of Plan Tec's "Espias Psiquicos" on Spectral's Death Is Nothing To Fear 2 compilation 12". In the meantime, he has released more amazing records on labels such as Weave, Vinyl Club and CMYK Musik. His debut release on Curle sounds like Brothers' Vibe meets Radio Slave at Berghain. Sounds tempting, doesn't it?

CMYK 025EP
"It's CMYKmusik's turn to present a fresh addition to our roster, the Argentinean producer Jonas Kopp. Verde Ácido, his first EP for the NET28 family, is a collection of dark & trippy techno tracks in his own super personal style. Techno that is mental, groovy and fresh, touched with a dark mood. Jonas Kopp was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1981. His career as a producer was launched when he was 19 years old. After seven years of hard work, we find one of the most representative Argentine talents for the minimal and techno global scene. Jonas is very well depicted by the constant hypnotic flavour in his tracks, the techno arrangements, deep basslines that really fill the surrounding space, the use of effects like reverb and LFOs and his faithful attachment to his Detroit and Chicago roots as creative influences. He has released with Spectral, Weave Music, Traut Muzik (his own label) and will be releasing soon with Curlé. And he just completed a wonderful remix for Dominik Eulberg, released by Traum/Trapez."

WEAVE 023EP
"Now that the dark and cold days seem to be right in front of us and the party people are going to rock off their socks in the clubs again, Weave comes up with another high potential release that fits perfectly to produce loads of water drops on the ceilings of all serious techno clubs around the globe! For all of you who also like the sound of labels like Spectral Sound, M_nus or trax by guys like Audion, Loco Dice or Marc Houle, Weave's 23rd release is definitively a record you should check out! The fact that Jonas is gonna have some more stuff released on Vinyl Club & Spectral Sound as well in the following weeks is just more clear evidence for the quality of his recent work."
