2023 repress. Mule Musiq announces the vinyl release of Kuniyuki's masterpiece, All These Things. Originally, it was only released in 2007 on CD. It was Kuniyuki second album, but it's essentially his first album because the first album was a collection of early productions. The first track "The Guitar Song" is a good mixture of jazz, fusion, world music, and electronic music. The second track, featuring African vocalist and percussionist Omar Guaindefall, is a gem. "You Get Me" features the singer Josee Hurlock, who released her fantastic album Residue on Hefner in 2000. She is also featured on the fourth track, "All These Things", too. The fifth track "Flying Music" features poetry by Alex From Tokyo and popular Tokyo trumpeter Shuichiro Sakaguchi. "The Session" is a collaboration of song with Henrik Schwarz. They have met at Mule Musiq's party in Tokyo and clicked immediately. The seventh track "Touch" sounds very nostalgic, recalling the type of African jazz or Spanish fusion popular currently as Balearic music. The last track, "Rain Of Ocean", is primitive, African minimal deep house. A collection of eight timeless and genre-less tracks.

2019 is Mule Musiq's 15-year anniversary. They're releasing twelve 12"s with their friends and Stefan Marx is handling the artwork. The 11th release is from Kuniyuki, a long-awaited new release following his highly-acclaimed album Newwave Project on 2017 (MUSIQ 058CD/215LP). "Middle Eye", on the A side, is a trippy melody raw house. On B side is "black", more industrial dark machine funk. "Newwave Project 7" was a killer track off of the Newwave Project album; here, Kuniyuki edited it as a more mixable DJ tool version for the dancefloor.

2023 repress; double LP version. In February 2015, Japanese producer and sound designer Kuniyuki Takahashi, sometimes known as Koss, released the EP Newwave Project #2 (MUSIQ 183EP), a record that tapped some roots of his musical education: new wave, German electro punk from bands like Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, EBM from acts like Front 242, as well as industrial music, all styles Kuniyuki claims are his "favorite music". Nearly two years after his first Newwave Project EP, he drops an album that is leaning towards his musical love from the past. Compared to his former work, which was rooted in worlds of classic, jazz, house, ambient, and electronic song-writing, his new tunes are full of melodic drifts and rhythmical shifts. As usual, all is loaded with tones and rhythms straight from the heart that filter and modulate human emotions without losing their natural source. To get a sound that is fresh but still leaning to the '80s, he used some old synthesizers, like Roland Jupiter 8, Juno 60, Korg MS 20, and an old tape echo machine, but he also used newer instruments, like the Roland AIRA. His modular synthesizers talk too. Sampled voices, and other alienated sound sources of unknown origin, inject otherworldly atmospheres into his new tunes. It is also evident that he is a fine instrumentalist, as Kuniyuki also plays piano, percussion, and flute on the album, if he felt their warm sound was needed for his freely grooving tracks. Some dance in house or techno outfits; other slam like a mix of funk and EBM. Tunes like "Puzzle" or "Body Signal" are twisted treasures that bemuse deeply. In-between, you hear the echoes of cosmic spheres, the darkness of the Cold War days, and some bewitching tribal jungle vibes; A new, moving, unorthodox, yet catchy side of Kuniyuki Takahashi. It is not totally novel to him, as he already released some industrial, EBM, and electronic with the project DRP. But for his listeners that know him for detailed house, jazz, and classic, or even his collaborations, the Newwave Project sheds a light on a different artistic side of Takahashi. It is diversified, with many rhythmical and atmospheric turns, but stays stirring and compelling throughout. A true new wave, formed, played in, and envisioned, with a view on the past that was filtered through the now while feeling the future. Cover art by Swiss artist Augustin Rebetez.

One of the most important works of Japanese deep house master Kuniyuki is finally repressed. Originally released in 2005, "Earth Beats" has been supported by a lot of DJs and was licensed for Luciano's 2006 Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi. _02 mix. It has been remixed by Henrik Schwarz, Larry Heard (MUSIQ 151EP), Château Flight, and, on MUSIQ 153EP, by Roman Flügel and Magazine. The track was destined to be a classic as soon as it was released. Don't miss the last chance to get this release on vinyl!

Kuniyuki's presents an interpretation of his musical roots -- influences from SPK, Test Dept., DAF, and that kind of industrial body music. He formed an industrial band with his brother in the late '80s called DRP, which released an album on the Belgian label Body Records. newwave project #2 is a unique mixture of his deep and emotional house sound and industrial body music, and Musk's remix makes the release even more special.

Japanese deep house master Kuniyuki collects two of his best remixes on this EP. Originally available in Japan only, these two highlights from his collection are finally available on vinyl. Side A is a very rare remix of the famous Japanese band Sakanaction, a band you could compare to UNKLE. The B-side is an aggressive jazzy remix for young French producer Arno E. Mathieu. Definitely one of his best remixes and always a highlight of his live sets.

Second single cut from the Kuniyuki album Feather World. On the A-side, Kuni reconstructs jazzy deep house with some freaky sax. It's not easy to compare to other artists, but it's sort of like KInk meets Joe Claussell. On the B-side, one of Mule Musiq's most respected artists DJ Sprinkles remixes a dark poetry track which legendary '80s singer Anne Clark joins in on for some playful deep house. For all house music lovers.

Mule Musiq presents the remixed single for Kuniyuki's classic "Earth Beats." The Roman Flügel remix on the A-side is simply good. If you like his album on Dial, you will love this remix. On the B-side, Magazine delivers an excellent remix in his very own unique style. A total rarity.

Kuniyuki's "Earth Beats" made its first appearance on Mule Musiq in 2005. This track is still one of the label's favorite releases and it's perhaps Kuniyuki's best work. On the A-side is a dancefloor-oriented live version of this track, recorded for his European tour in 2011. Also included are remixes from the legendary Larry Heard (Fingers Inc.) to make this package a classic.
