Martin Landsky presents an exquisitely realized three-tracker, Ekko Traxx Vol. 2. "Echo My Head" is the perfect example - driving, focused and funky, yet with a subtle undercurrent that keeps you slightly out of your comfort zone and locked in to the groove. "Weird Night" contains a spooky, discordant synth that raises the tension before giving way to a hard driving rhythm track. "That Organ" has a similar aesthetic, chunky rhythms and bass pulses for the floor, and synth stabs and melodic hooks that keep the track in constant forward motion.

Martin Landsky -- elder statesmen and bona fide legend of Berlin's club scene -- serves up another superb EP. "Da Geh Bo" hits the sweet spot with its booming bass, precision percussion, and spacious production values. Big, bold, imaginative tech house, with cut-up vocalizations that zip and echo in the mix. "Under the Bridge" is equally ballsy, its repetitive stabs demonstrating Landsky's innate understanding of what moves people in both body and mind. The "House Mix" of the title-track marries a hard-hitting kick to a nebula of reverberating synth, a foundation for a swinging, swaying and utterly smooth groove.

Martin Landsky presents a fierce dancefloor assault with Ekko Trax. This three-track release is a raw and honest tribute to the sounds that inspired him -- namely the early days of Detroit and Chicago, before genres like house and techno had been defined and pigeon-holed. Each cut here is a creative interpretation of the tough, jacking rhythm trax popularized by originators like Ron Hardy at the Warehouse in the mid-'80s -- uncut machine-funk made with one purpose in mind: delirious and ecstatic dancefloor movement.

Martin Landsky's outstanding form continues with this release on Poker Flat Recordings. "The Composer" is an atmospheric tech-house workout that kicks off with a tight and funky groove and then expands into an off-kilter dancefloor bomb. On the flip, Sasse adds a dubbier take on the track, pushing the drums up in the mix and teasing out the acidic riffs to full effect. Expertly building the tension, the track resolves itself in an epic breakdown.

This is the debut release by Poker Flat's Martin Landsky on Mobilee. "Morning Caffeine (Main Mix)" kickstarts the EP with both a dark and uplifting mood as a slightly twisted loop continues to build throughout the track, never really culminating but carrying on inescapably, while in contrast the "Organ Dub" version offers a much lighter and bouncier atmosphere. "Ain't Nobody's" once again demonstrates Landsky's musical diversity while serving up really special warm, dreamy vibes.

The bold and futuristic year of 2010 sees the release of Werkshau, an unmixed compilation that gathers together a hand-picked selection of Martin Landsky's favorite cuts. This special EP captures 3 choice tracks including the seminal "1000 Miles," which is re-interpreted and brought up-to date as "2000 Miles" -- a strong, driving powerhouse of reduced acid signals and hypnotic synth phrases that is the sound of Martin Landsky, future, present and past.

Martin Landsky presents "We Are Streaking," a tasty 2-tracker rich in classic Landsky synth-work, deep, moody melodies, and forward-pushing energies. "We Are Streaking" sends a warm, pulsing sonic charge right to the core. Rushing, phasing and dramatic, an insistent synth revolves at the heart of this timeless slice of driving electronic house. The sharp post-electro swagger of "Personal Decay" takes inspiration from those early days of rave, combining modern, finely-tuned electronics with raw, dubbed and funked passages of killer proportions.

"Let Me Dance" is asking for joint dance action with spoken word shreds, driving synth-lines and a snappy beat. Compared to his recent releases, "Let Me Dance" is a true and wonderful old-school affair that reveals the deeper and more house-y facet of Martin Landsky in an impressive way. Sebo K, one of the most in-demand producers of the moment, contributed a fantastic remix. Sebo picks up on the vibe of the original and makes it even more house-y and adds a tighter beat.

This is Martin Landsky's first musical output in 2006. With this release, he has created a dark and monumental piece, using simple but effective sound patterns, repeating them by adding nice delays and other smart fx, step by step slowly building it up in tremendously hypnotic fashion. Striking indeed! On the flip side it's Loco Dice -- his remix of "1000 Miles" is less dark, more funky, smartly playing around with some short soundtips, gliding softly towards a quiet break, before evolving to full power. This 12" will definitely be a guiding light for the summer, especially on the magic island of Ibiza!
