2015 ten-year anniversary reissue of Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas's genre-defining 2005 debut album. Three 180-gram LPs in special-edition gatefold sleeve with download code and bonus 7" of previously unreleased material (including a 2015 edit of "Feel AM" by Prins Thomas). The Norwegian duo of Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Thomas M. Hermansen aka Prins Thomas joined forces in 2003, after mutual admiration for each other's productions -- Lindstrøm as muso-wizard and Prins Thomas as the nu-skool remix-champ. They share a background in band projects -- ranging from punk and gospel through country and heavy metal to folk and psychedelia -- and they also share a passion for collecting records. Besides running their respective labels (Lindstrøm's Feedelity and Prins Thomas's Full Pupp) and working on various solo projects, their main priority is their joint venture into the ever-expanding outer limits of futuristic disko and universal boogie. Featuring Italo, funk, and disco-influenced productions alongside the production genius that defined those lost halcyon releases of the post-disco/punk era circa '78-'84, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas provide lush basslines, sublime melodies, and rolling rhythms that cascade like snowflakes being hit by harsh early-morning sunlight -- icy, but with a heart bursting with pure emotion. Throughout one can find the experimental energy of the continental space-disco of the '80s, which the pair still adore -- melodic, synth-heavy, and Moroder-esque, with arpeggiated basslines set to proto-house 4/4 grooves. Wrap yourself in the basslines and melodies of Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas's sublime Norse code.

4x12" version, including CD of the entire album. Housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve. This is the highly-anticipated second full-length release by Oslo's cosmic-disco kings Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, the follow-up to their 2006 eponymous debut, which captured the hearts and minds of the global music community. II is a worthy successor to their ground-breaking first album. It would be no small understatement to say that right now Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and fellow Norwegian, Thomas M. Hermansen (aka Prins Thomas) are two of the hottest leftfield dance artists around. While Thomas' roots come from a more dance/DJ background, multi-instrumentalist Lindstrøm provides the backbone to the pair's beautiful and melodic approach that takes their music from the dancefloor and into a looser groove that could fit happily in any home listening environment. While retaining a lot of the musical ideals and ideas of the first album, II is distinctively more organic, psychedelic, live and loose, which makes it such a welcome return of a release. Featuring elements of Italo, Krautrock and disco-influenced productions, alongside the production spark genius that defined those halcyon releases of the post disco/punk era, Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas provide us with yet more lush bass lines, sublime melodies and rolling rhythms bursting with pure emotion. Throughout, you can find the experimental energy of the continental space-disco of the '80s which the pair still adore: melodic, synth-heavy and cinematic, with arpeggiated bass lines set to organic, flowing grooves. Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas' sublime Norse code continues to astound, invigorate and inspire as every twist and nuance is embellished with a warmth and glow few seem capable of capturing. The space-disco kings are back.

Reinterpretations is the re-working of Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas' debut eponymous album from late 2005. Since then, they have been heralded the world over as the kings of cosmic space disco, spearheading the vanguard of new sounds emanating from their native Norway. This album collates their own alternative versions and vinyl-only B-sides and gives a more uptempo, dancefloor vibe to their highly praised debut. This release also includes two unreleased tracks that will be released on the Nummer Fire EP together with the album. If their debut was the ultimate Norwegian chill-out record, then this brings the duo's love of the groove firmly to the fore. As seen on Lindstrøm's Feedelity compilation last year and soon to be witnessed by Prins Thomas genre-splicing eclecticism on a double mix-CD for Eskimo, Reinterpretations brings together elements of funk, house, disco, psychedelia, Italo, boogie and beyond, taking them into a new Nordic dimension that further defines those lost halcyon releases of the post disco/punk era circa '78-'84. Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas provide yet more lush basslines, sublime melodies and rolling rhythms bursting with pure emotion. Throughout you can find the experimental energy of the continental space-disco of the '80s which the pair still adore: melodic, synth-heavy and Moroder-esque, with arpeggiated basslines set to proto-house 4/4 grooves.

"Boney M Down" is the third single for Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas from their very successful album Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas on Eskimo Recordings. The title track -- one of the best tunes from the album -- comes in an alternative version, whereas "Sykkelsesong" was recorded live at Goa Club in Rome, Italy. "Tempo Tempo" is a new track, in true L&PT style: spaced out disco!

Eskimo Recordings present their debut artist album release, produced by two of the hottest leftfield dance artists around, namely Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and fellow Norwegian, Thomas M. Hermansen (aka Prins Thomas). On Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas, they join forces in mutual admiration and inspiration of each other's productions: Lindstrøm as muso-wizard and Prins Thomas as the nu-skool remix-champ. Lindstrøm is rapidly becoming one of the biggest new names on the electronic dance circuit, with a string of highly regarded EPs under his belt, including the recent underground smash "I Feel Space." He's remixed artists for labels like Wall of Sound to Clone and Kingsize and no remix package is complete these days without one of his analogue-heavy, Italo-esque reworkings. Prins Thomas has made a name for himself as the remix king from Norway, working the likes of Kango's Stein Massiv, Martini Bros, Flunk, Diskodans, Bermuda Triangle and Jackmaster Dahle amongst a host of other tip top names from the underground as well as releasing his own music on Feedelity and Rong Music. They both have a background from different band-projects; ranging from punk to gospel via country to heavy metal to folk and psychedelia and run their own labels Feedelity, Full Pupp and Tamburin from their Scandinavian home-base. The duo unleash their highly anticipated debut longplayer on the label that has given us defining mix CDs from The Glimmers, Optimo, Recloose, Rub N Tug, Headman, Ivan Smagghe and most recently Chromeo. Featuring Italo, funk and disco-influenced productions alongside sounds of the post disco/punk era circa '78-'84, Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas provide us with lush basslines, sublime melodies and rolling rhythms that cascade like snowflakes being hit by harsh early-morning sunlight -- icy, but with a heart bursting with pure emotion. Throughout you can find the experimental energy of the continental space-disco of the '80s which the pair still adore: melodic, synth-heavy and Moroder-esque, with arpeggiated basslines set to proto-house 4/4 grooves. So stick it on and wrap yourself up in the basslines and melodies of Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas's sublime Norse code.
