The honeybadger is the most badass animal on the planet -- it simply doesn't give a shit about anything, and this is something Lovebirds can relate to very well. "Chasing Things" is a deep house peak-time funk-monster -- no 808 bass drums, either. "Running Backwards" is a slick mid-tempo rat with some pretty badass drums and a Kenny "Fuckin" Powers bassline. Lastly, "Gives A Shit" is a nice oldskool tune with a heavy bassline on top of some Moodymann-ish chord stabs.

Lovebirds serve up some fresh slices of homemade house jam. "Love & Happiness" is a slick, slow house-bomb with proper oldskool 909 drums and some sliding portamento chords that won't ever leave your head. The breakdown takes you even further back in time to that beautiful intro that has rarely been used more beautifully. Tested so far by Vincenzo, Phonique and Mr. Bird himself, to devastating dancefloor effect. Includes a mix of "The Rain" by Steve Bug.

Lovebirds presents some forgotten beauties on Best Before 2008. "Pad Me" is an anthemic deep house hymn, based on some nice 808 hi-hat and percussion sounds, and of course, as the name indicates, PADS. "Housemusic (This Is My)," the oldest track of these three, is straight, building, deep and energetic. On "Tansverb," the drums are slightly nuskool-ish -- striking chord stabs and killer bass lines make this one a real weapon on the dancefloor.
