An emblematic actress and a memorable figure of the French chanson scene, Jeanne Moreau passed away in 2017. She started singing as an amateur in theatre like the Comédie Française, but always wanted "to sing ballads". The man who wrote her first songs was her friend: the painter Cyrus Bassiak (pseudonym of Serge Rezvani) and like for many other artists Jacques Canetti was the one who brought her to a recording studio to record her first songs in 1963. Le Tourbillon De Ma Vie (Best Of 2017) pays homage to Jeanne Moreau by compiling for the very first time all the songs written by Cyrus Bassiak, including four songs that were nowhere to be found until today. Le Tourbillon De Ma Vie (Best Of 2017) comprises recordings made between 1963-1967 and includes unreleased songs. Includes 20-page booklet with exclusive pictures and notes from Jeanne Moreau, François Truffaut, and Cyrius Bassiak.

This limited edition of Succés et Confidences includes a 110-minute DVD (PAL all-region format) chronicling the work of legendary French actress and singer Jeanne Moreau, with live archives (TV shows, galas), clips of vocal performances from Moreau's film work, and an interview. The CD features 27 highlights from the Moreau's career. Moreau's work as an actress with such leaders of the French new wave as Louis Malle, François Truffaut, and Jean-Luc Godard had already established her iconic status by the time she connected with Jacques Canetti to record her first album in 1964. Her career as a vocalist, however, was still nascent, having just begun to show its potential in her performance of Cyrus Bassiak's song "Le Tourbillon" in Truffaut's 1962 film Jules et Jim. Succés et Confidences includes such classics as "Le Tourbillon," "J'ai la Mémoire Qui Flanche," "La Peau Léon," and "La Vie de Cocagne." CD available without DVD as Succés et Confidences (BEC 5772239, 2015). DVD format is European PAL, region free.

Jacques Canetti Productions presents Jeanne Moreau's 1964 album of songs by Cyrus Bassiak, reissued on vinyl as part of a series of albums highlighting the work of French talent agent and producer Jacques Canetti. In his lifelong dedication to chanson, Canetti supported and developed the careers of a dizzying array of artists: Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg, Boris Vian, Georges Brassens, Serge Reggiani, Léo Ferré, and Brigitte Fontaine are among the most notable. In the case of Jeanne Moreau, her work as an actress with such leaders of the French new wave as Louis Malle, François Truffaut, and Jean-Luc Godard had already established her iconic status by the time she connected with Jacques Canetti to record her first album in 1964. Her career as a vocalist, however, was still nascent, having just begun to show its potential in her performance of Cyrus Bassiak's song "Le Tourbillon" in Truffaut's film Jules et Jim. Joining Moreau and Canetti in the creation of Moreau's debut album, Bassiak penned the twelve compositions presented here, which include such legendary songs as "J'ai la mémoire qui flanche," "La peau, Léon," and "La vie de cocagne." Remastered from the original tapes. Housed in a gatefold jacket with original artwork.
