Originally released in 2008. "Lights In My Dark World" is awash in the kind of fluttering, hissing sea-foam grooves that you have come to expect from Desolat; as well the underhanded drama and subtle retro flourishes befitting the eponymous Frank Sinatra character. Danny Ocean is from Barcelona, with eclectic influences that include the morbid strains of Brazilian thrash metal, the earliest little fluffy clouds of British electronica, as well as the polished bass lines and classic soul of Stevie or Quincy.
