After making a sunny debut on Aus Music back in May 2016 (AUS 1697EP), Brooklyn based luminary Recloose readies his second 12" for the label and enlists the help of Mara TK (Electric Wire Hustle), Ezrakh, and Son Of Sound (House 2 House, Strictly Rhythm). His Spirit Knows EP adds to a catalogue of more than 20 years - one that's touched the likes of Planet E, Rush Hour, and Peacefrog and in a similar vein to Honey Rocks - his latest offering comprises three eloquent cuts of house music and carries with it a balmy sense of soul.

Recloose returns with a brilliant new 12" -- three great house tracks with corking a Carl Craig re-edit. This single is a collaboration with ex-gospel singer-turned-R&B artist, B.Slade. The outcome is a soul-shimmering, joyful vocal workout. With its cut-and-paste vocals and airy guitar loops, it creates an uplifting groove. Besides the Carl Craig edit and an instrumental version is a new mix of "UHF," which was previously only available on a limited Serato pressing.

Recloose is back with a state-of-the-art house 12". Two refreshing house tracks on the A-side, and a banging, heavy one on the B that's leaning towards electro. The EP starts out smooth and mellow with "Electric Sunshine," a heartfelt future-soul piece. It then moves on to the bumping groove of "Parquet," a shaker that carries that signature Recloose funk. It closes out the night with "Tecumseh," a dirt-deadly primetime mover that makes you want to reach for the stars.

"Artist friends of Planet E choose their favorite Planet-E release and add their take on it. The first in the remix series from the Planet-E back catalogue is Luciano's remix of Recloose's 'Can't Take It', originally released in 2000. The package also comes with a Milton Jackson remix, as well as the coveted original. Swiss/Chilean producer Luciano, owner of Cadenza Records and a DJ to witness-with-reason, creates almost 13 minutes of rhythmic anticipation that leaves you lost in a trance."

With this compilation, Rush Hour celebrates Recloose's early works from the late '90s, early '00s. The compilation includes his best music from that period, both released and unreleased. In fact, it's an even score with seven released tracks and seven unreleased tracks. The CD starts with tracks from his first two releases, both for Planet E, from 1998 and 1999: So This Is The Dining Room and Spelunking. It is especially Spelunking that solidified his name and earned him a worldwide fan base. This CD once again showcases Recloose's talent for merging electronic music with just about any preceding form of music: jazz ("First Off," originally released under Dapp on Omoa Music), reggae/dub ("Insomnia In Dub") or soul ("Can't Take It"). Besides his early work for (mostly) Planet E, this release also contains seven unreleased tracks from this period to give a broader insight into his early production period as well as to please all his fans. Housed in deluxe DVD packaging

This sampler, first of two, contains three tracks from the classic Spelunking EP, which was originally released on Planet E and with which Recloose solidified his name on the scene. "Land Of The Lost Dance" is an unreleased track from that era -- another fine example which shows that Recloose is the don of mixing funk and techno. With this 12", Rush Hour celebrates Recloose's early works from the late '90s/early '00s. This material is often regarded as his best.

This is the second of two samplers celebrating Recloose's early works from the late-'90s/early '00s. This 12" opens with "Mym 230 (RIP)," a track taken from his Planet E debut release from 1998. It also features one of his biggest tracks to-date, "Can't Take It," which was the debut recording of soul vocalist Dwele. "Antares" and "Crosstown" are two tracks taken from the artists' personal vault -- tracks which were recorded back in the day, but remained unreleased... until now!

2002 release. "Presenting the highly-anticipated album from one of the hottest producers in the industry. With his two EPs, two singles, one mix CD and numerous remixes for everybody from Herbert to Ballistic Mystic, Recloose's well-received releases have made him one of Detroit's signature artists. Recloose describes his sound and style best as 'shape-shifting,' an amorphous aesthetic that mixes samples, chopped beats and lots of rhythms predicated on tweaks and abstractions of sound. That his album is called Cardiology is intended to mean that it is music not intended to be dissected and deconstructed but rather, felt. 'I was trying to create music from the heart,' he describes. 'Less with my brain and more with my innards.' And that has never been so true as it is with this incredible LP."

"Exquisite extended play from new Planet E recording artists, Recloose. A barrage of multiple styles from instrumental hip hop to drum 'n' bass...with all the depth of jazz. Produced by Matt Chicoine, So This Is The Dining Room includes the influences acquired from DJ Premier to DJ Shadow. But don't dare to compare...steps beyond what you have already experienced." Five tracks, including 2 Carl Craig mixes.
