DRD 004EP
|
Harsh Puri, aka Reformed Society, debuted in 2015 with this being his sixth consecutive release in order. "One Life" opens Dimensions and is the track given to label boss John Osborn for deconstructing and remolding. The EP's title track has ambient sonic rays flowing through it, being aptly named -- it is also the record's warmest adventure; distorted percussion juggles sparse subaqueous melodic moments. Reformed Society goes in with full yet silent force on "Chasing Titanoid". A warped bassline co-creates the groove with a particularly bouncy beat with sharp strings piercing though.

MOC 010EP

British producer Reformed Society presents High Tension EP with a remix by Gathaspar. "High Tension" is a high strung stripped back piece with an aerial feel. It's a clear-cut, steady groove. Gathaspar's "Rausch Remix" is a sub-bassy reinterpretation of the initial piece, filled with contorted whirs and whizzes that give the track a sub-aquatic feel. On "Volgende Halte", the opening vocal sample shifts from a seemingly conventional soundbite to a haunting snippet. Rhythmical rolling pads galvanize the groove. "Orbiting Jupiter" centers around wavering bass leads, while playing on a blend of spacious synths and timbered percussion patterns.
