Rhode & Brown are back on their home label Toy Tonics. This new record contains their first vocal feature ever. A brilliant house tune with vocals by German soul singer Adriano Prestel. On the A side, they show their love for classic NY house vibes. Sax and pianos all over! All tracks basically made on the MPC and their Juno 106. On the flip you'll find a full-on disco banger, backed with a beautiful understated sample house tune. Since the boys cut short their day jobs, they've been spending more time in the studio and are more creative than ever.

Munich-based Slam City Jams kicks off 2019 with their fifth release. Label heads Rhode & Brown gather four favorites to remix 2018's Wave 100 EP (SCJ 004EP). Public Possession poster boy Bell Towers took dibs on "Love Lane" and makes it even more funked-up and lovable, C.K from Aarhus' finest imprint Regelbau gives "Sparkle" his beautiful classic house touch. Klasse Wrecks head honcho Mr. Ho turns title track "Wave 100" into an epic space journey that builds up till the end, while Bostro Pesopeo rounds up this remix EP with his trance-y take on "Moon Bells".

Slam City Jams head honchos Rhode & Brown debut on their own imprint. On the title track there's a euphoric hint of '80s synth nostalgia, slapped bass, and banging woodsticks. "Sparkle" oozes sweat with phat bass, sweet flutes, and strings. "Love Lane" is a classic house track with a funked-up bassline, shuffling snares, and the most erotic vocal in human history. "Moon Bells" is the soundtrack to that road trip you did back in '86 with a Juno 106 arpeggiator bassline, percussive drums, and airy synths. "Over Europe" is made of beautiful ambient spheres straight from outta space.

Rhode & Brown are back on Toy Tonics. From DIY-disco to dreamy house, the tracks have that special joyful touch. This time their production was a little bit different: While spending holidays on the island of Zanzibar, they produced the raw versions of this EP. They set-up their studio at a beach cabanne. With a monkey becoming their muse -- the monkey came over every day to listen to their sounds. When back in Europe the Munich boys still were in a "Balearic mood", so they went to a house deep in the south of France to finish the music.

Rhode & Brown are back with a new EP full of their very special, funk-influenced, analog sounding dance tracks. Snabsnus EP shows a great range of their musical inspirations: funky acid basslines, hazy breakbeats, rare soul-samples - and a very special, nasty atmosphere that is becoming their trademark sound. Rhode & Brown have made this EP in a little house in L'estrechure - in the south of France. You can feel the chilled vibe of the Provence here. It has that positive, soulful atmosphere.

Limited edition of 300. Vintage house freaks and soul kids: Rhode & Brown, who have hosted their own night at Munich's Kong club since 2012, return to Toy Tonics with a great funk-driven instrumental EP following a few 2015 remixes (check the one for Brooklyn-based label Good Company Records). Produced on a Stradivari-build MPC1000 in their beautiful studio in the heart of Munich, the record showcases the pair's self-described "weiĆwursthouse" sound, influenced by old soul records, Detroit legends Theo Parrish and Moodymann, and experimental house from the Scandinavian labels around Studio Barnhus. Includes a remix by up-and-coming producer Hodini.

Berlin techno was the big thing over the last years, but you might know that in German cites like Hamburg and Munich, there is a huge growing experimental house scene. One of the fresh new labels is Toy Tonics from Munich and the raising stars of the labels are Rhode & Brown, residents at Munich super-club, Kong. Their sound is fresh -- influenced by early New York records but still with a futuristic, upfront touch. You should check out Glenn Astro's remix: crazy drum sounds meet rare analog synths.
