Created over the span of two years, Balance 032 marks a creative high point in the career of Madrid-based artist Henry Saiz, and this marks his third appearance for the hallowed compilation series. Spread over an expansive three discs, it has given him the space to curate a truly stunning odyssey of creative expression -- one influenced by everything from AI to his recent ADHD diagnosis. As ever, he has gone above and beyond to ensure that the mix is crammed full of exclusive, unreleased material, both from himself and many of his favorite producers and collaborators, from unknowns through to household names. Created in Ableton, which he uses for his DJ sets due to its unlimited creative functionality and precision, the mix makes great use of many effects, layerings, and production techniques to enhance the beautiful sounds that lie within. A deep and spacey feel early on with plenty of dubby touches gives way to meatier sounds, psychedelic tones woven into the heavier rhythms as the tempos gradually creep upwards and elements of trance abound through a flurry of Saiz exclusives. A grandstand finish is guaranteed by way of his incredible chugging-based rework of Moonlight Wolves' "Mantra," the light dreamy beauty of Henry Saiz and Somfay's "To Steal a Star from The Night," and the intense synth overload of H. Haze's "La Fuerza." A perfect end to a truly remarkable body of work. Featuring Hal Incandenza, Efferent, RQS, Eloy, True ZeroX, Guillermo Medín, Robert Feltman, R.I.P Bestia, Romina (ARG), Karmon, Röyksopp, Genius of Time, Milio, Bostro Pesopeo, Wil Mancia, , Brassica, Eden Burns, Rollin & Josh Wetherington, Frømme, Marshall White, Miss Melera, Damabiah, Gonzalo Aranda, Space Dimension Controller, Imalgi, Moonlight Wolves, Big Zen, Wa Wu We, NVSBL, Kris Omen, Voiski, Aurora Halal, Adwer, Polygonia, NorB & juSt b, and Planetary Assault Systems.

Spanish musical genius Henry Saiz provided one of Balance Music's most memorable efforts with Balance 019 (BAL 003CD, 2011), utilizing vinyl, cassette, reel-to-reel tapes, and over 100 field recordings to create an incredible patchwork of sounds. Saiz returns for Balance Presents Natura Sonoris, an expansive mix comprised completely of exclusives from his award-winning label. Saiz has used only exclusive and unreleased tracks from his label family, many specially commissioned for this continuous 140-minute mix. Upcoming releases get a debut airing; favorites get new reworks; and Saiz provides his own new productions. The ghosts of dark '80s electro-pop like Depeche Mode hover in the tortured vocals and dramatic mood of Saiz-penned opener "Lone Wolf". Muted chimes on Hal Incandenza's "Contacto" provide the perfect segue into the marimba arpeggios of Bufi's "Bird Song". Things take a global twist with the African and Latin rhythms and melodies of R.I.P. Bestia and Landikhan and deeper turns via A Friend Of Marcus and Saiz's shimmering remix of Damabiah. Joep Mencke's "Sonder" picks up the energy with its driving beats and strong melodies before Brassica gives the mix a more intense, direct edge, with healthy doses of breaks and acid over two remixes. The mix takes on a more chugging, energetic feel with Marc Marzenit's "The Walrus" and the detuned 8-bit melody madness of Victoria Rodriguez's "Moon On A Bright Day", followed by an ascent into euphoric melody with Brian Cid's "Luminous Black" and Saiz & Tentacle's synth-tastic "The Prophetess". The mellifluous vocals of Saiz's "The Light" get a gorgeous, piano-heavy update from bRUNA, contrasting with Saiz's remix of Sistema's "Entreé", a near-beatless interlude that again recalls '80s emotive melodies. The final third of the mix comprises largely of a masterclass in production from Saiz, such as the glistening chimes of his Petar Dundov collaboration and the warped hooks of his remix of NVBSL's "Woodhouse". It's punctuated by a brooding, sprawling epic from Voltaeric, with the intense sound design and deep atmospheres of Sandman, and closed with another mesmerizing trio of Saiz productions that culminates in the epic chug of "Spiricom (See You Soon)". Throughout, Saiz peppers the mix with samples from his own productions, layering them subtly with other tracks to great effect, ensuring this is a captivating listen that captures a range of moods. Also features: JMII, Tuff City Kids, NVSBL, Eduardo De La Calle, Cora Novoa, and Brynjolfur.

Balance lines up Henry Saiz for another exciting chapter in their leading compilation series. The Spanish electronic producer brings his unique formula to the esteemed mix series with an exciting conceptualized approach. Through attempting to occupy the creative space closer to that of an artist album, rather than a club mix, Henry has delicately created an odyssey in sound. CD1 explores how music has the power to contain and store personal emotional experiences. This is the characteristic that Henry loves most about music, that "evocative power to send you back to your childhood or to a specific moment of your life." In order to create that evocative and psychedelic atmosphere, this CD has an elaborately-crafted lo-fi sound through the use of varying analog formats such as cassette or vinyl. Saiz expertly harnesses his intricate knowledge of sound through the use of a multitude of layers, sampling, edits and the use of lot of vocals to create a melodic and intense experience that attempts to connect with memories and complex emotions. Following the same concept, but offering up a balance is CD2, which is more geared towards the dancefloor. As ever, the track selection is eclectic in its outlook, but has a definite tech-house feel that is tinged with the influence of house, melodic techno, disco and Detroit alongside the plethora of styles Saiz uses for his musical motivation. Adding to the experience is the fact that Henry has chosen to use only unreleased productions and exclusive collaborations with other artists. So there are plenty of rare inclusions on the track-list that make for a completely fresh listening experience. Notable highlights are Saiz's own new downtempo version of "Lady In The Mirror" and new tracks from him like "Eterno Retorno," which effortlessly fuses the past and present. Exclusively made for this are collaborations with Marc Marzenit, Dosem and Pional. New tracks like "Together" by Border Community's Ricardo Tobar and Petar Dundov aka Solar Sailor's "Horizons" revisit Henry's musical journey with their distinctive progressive and futuristic sound. Additionally, Henry's new moniker Hal Incandenza is featured here for the first time and offers up some amazing productions in the form of "Little Mountains" and also "Mystical Tree." This is another truly breathtaking outing from one of electronic music's gifted proponents, and fully lives up to the forward-thinking expectations of the seminal mix series. Other artists include: Tyrane, Jesse Somfay, Spada, Cora Novoa & Spaceman, Kitkaliito, Esperanza, Calypso Synth Ensemble, Armed, Eelke Kleijn, Mono Electric Orchestra, Charles Gudagafva, AMyn, Liz Cirelli & Minski, Okain, Simon Garcia, Anneke van Giersbergen and Sistema.
