CADENZA 117EP
|
Argentinian veteran Jorge Savoretti's debut on Cadenza is a crisp breeze of graceful music for dancing. Bouncing shuffle "Bou Gei" starts with a driving bassline, lively cymbals, sparkling band-passed chords, summing-up Jorge's dedication to nightclubs and nightlife. On "Ruth", suspicious pads lurk behind a funky swinging rhythm spruced up by a continuous surfacing of snare rolls and giggly stabs. "Sensu Dub" explores without hesitation darker textures and resonances, leaving no concessions to leave the dancefloor. "U-Fonk #04.01" dives into sweating hotblooded late-time hours, with a hypnotizing deep-toned coil, soaked of greasy riffs and gloomy fumes.

ESPERANZA 014EP
|
"We welcome again one of the Esperanza's usual suspects, hailing from Rosario (Argentina) as we all know, Jorge has been developing his sound for quite some years already and now he comes up with this magic masterpiece of work. A1 'Basics' is the most straight-forward track on the record. Oldschool flavour with a great groove and an acid kind bassline hook that will blow every dancefloor from Melbourne to Berlin. In the inside cut 'Seuil' brings a deep tinged remix of that track, reminding us a little bit to some Perlon stuff but of course with his usual flavour, groovey and deep. 'Quartz' is the track that takes over the full side of this EP. Long and deep, this song is just perfect for the openings or to slow down on the peak hours of the set. Chords, percussion and its melancholic and summerish feeling makes it perfect for the start of the summer! Big with: Troy Pierce, Robert Dietz, Technasia, Alexkid, Chateau Flight, Dan Drastic, Nick Curly, Bearweasel, Alland Byallo, Slam, Federico Molinari, Raresh, Ahmet Sisman, Someone Else, Karotte, Sis, Dario Zenker, Martin Eyerer, Boris Werner, Mossa."

ESPERANZA 011EP

"For our 11th release, we have no other than Esperanza's own Jorge Savoretti. After making some collabs for the label, he's finally delivering his expected solo EP. For this one, he mixed a wide variety of soundscapes and influences with precise coherence, developing his trademark forward-thinking sound even further. There are lots of words used to describe tracks, but for this baby is really hard to find ones accurate enough, maybe some hints would be: futuristic, intricate, Martian, tribal. Once again, Jorge delivers the goodies!"

MUPA 005EP
|
"Damián Schwartz invites a childhood friend to join Mupa. The close bond between Jorge Savoretti (or George S) and electronic music started in 1993 when he discovered music from underground rave events. He began to explore the techno sounds in his hometown, Rosario, Argentina, and was influenced by Argentine favorites Franco Cinelli and Dee Jason. From that moment he has developed an exquisite combination of techno and house music, emphasizing the minimal aspects of the genres and combining it with the spirited electronic sounds of Chicago and Detroit. His first vinyl EP came on Esperanza Records in 2006, with remixes by Marc Houle and Ryan Crosson (M_nus). Jorge also has upcoming EPs on several labels, and holds projects together with Seph (as Geoph Serge), Franco Cinelli, Matias Oviedo and Dario Zenker. The Claridad EP hits us with 3 dancefloor killers that speak of techno, attitude & groove, reflecting Jorge's own background & his way of dealing with the classics. Concise, elegant & dark, his precision shows us that a new talent is born."
