Belgium-born Sammy Goossens aka Sierra Sam presents "Remember Me," sporting percussion layers as hot as a tropical night out and well-morphed sample wizardry before positive, uplifting stab sequencing and an energy overload. Pascal Hetzel and Sierra Sam's remix is a darker affair, on the technoid side of things. Psyched-out, acid-induced synth lines meet a threatening, slightly distorted drum foundation, frizzling high-hats on overdrive, and devilish, psychotic vocal processing. Upon. You cofounder Marco Resmann's remix is a fascinating, highly energetic, yet dry and toolish take on the original track for maximum dancefloor frenzy.

Sierra Sam's experience shines through clearly on this 12" for Upon You. The title track holds up not just on great production, but also from the mystical vocals that Paris The Black Fu offer on this release. For the flip-side, Sierra Sam picked his English cohort Inxec for a fresh remix. Closing track "Chambers" seals the deal on this singing, ringing hit plastic disc that no survival kit should be without.

Serialism's quirky mannerisms slots directly into Sierra Sam's tech-house signature for this EP. "Sierralism" features acidic and animalistic drive as sirens scream and tight percussion smacks against a dark push-and-pull bass line. "Your Secrets" drips with sumptuous synth lines, whispering piano keys and a wailing male vocal. Jay Haze works his ardent craftsmanship on "Your Secrets" with his "Never Ready Edit," adding a stomping funk to its beat. "The Laws Of Distraction" features Big Bully and leaves you hypnotized.
