Walker Barnard has got the funk deep inside of him and shares it on chapter 19 of the Serialism adventure. Things start off with "The Long Count," where Walker invites everyone to get up, reunite and succumb to the relentless groove. "Sweatshop Spaceship" is a bass-driven hypnotic monster, topped by Jaime Graham's vocal, where funk and soul influences reunite to celebrate old school house. Inxec's remix of "Sweathop Spaceship" is a slightly more epic and distorted textural interpretation of the original.

Serialism's quirky mannerisms slots directly into Sierra Sam's tech-house signature for this EP. "Sierralism" features acidic and animalistic drive as sirens scream and tight percussion smacks against a dark push-and-pull bass line. "Your Secrets" drips with sumptuous synth lines, whispering piano keys and a wailing male vocal. Jay Haze works his ardent craftsmanship on "Your Secrets" with his "Never Ready Edit," adding a stomping funk to its beat. "The Laws Of Distraction" features Big Bully and leaves you hypnotized.

Jin Choi is a musician, producer, DJ and live artist based in Berlin, Germany. Once coined modern minimal, Choi's productions are equal parts emotion, melody and rhythm. This is his first release on Serialism Records. "Full Range"is a dubby tech-house number, "Half Baked" fuses industrial sounds with melody, making for a blissed-out, deep house track. Maceo Plex's "Deep Remix" is around 9 minutes of Chicago house-inspired sounds layered with snappy high hats and emotive chords.

"The fourth release on the Serialism imprint comes from Itzo, a London duo consisting of one English (half of Guy Noir on Resopal) and one Spanish. The result is a brilliant mix of techno influenced minimal funk, stylish, cool and always groovy. The whole EP has a very refined sound that offers some delightful melodies all the way through, combined with big fat rhythmic structures that just force you to dance all the time. A delightful and original EP."

"Marco Shuttle returns to Serialism to deliver 3 tracks of groovy and elegant techno. Filled with nicely laid out percussive ambiences and dark but uplifting sounds, it reminds us of older Cadenza releases with a story/groove that never ends and a Latin feel that seduces the body. This one will surely make an important impact in the minimal circuit."
