Discover Le Deltaplane, fifth album by Andre Solomko, and third produced on Favorite Recordings, pursuing a collaboration that started before 2013. Born in Ukraine in 1965 and now based in Finland, Andre Solomko is primarily a rich and engaging personality, but above all, a brilliant saxophonist, composer, and engineer, whose contagious passion cannot leave anyone indifferent. After beginning a meteoric career in USSR, fate led him to Finland, where he started the adventure Vinyl Jam, a label/studio/group. It resulted in two self-produced albums that will capture the attention of some international collectors, including Pascal Rioux (founder of Favorite Recordings). Between 2012 and 2014, they released two albums together, Où es-tu maintenant? (FVR 070LP, 2012) and Le Polaroid (FVR 092LP, 2014), hailed by many tastemakers and meeting notable success in Japan. Following Le Premier Disco Sans Toi (FVR 138EP, 2018), an acclaimed single, unveiling two new compositions with disco flavors, Andre Solomko and Favorite Recordings present Le Deltaplane. Fully composed and arranged by Andre Solomko, the six tracks of the album are deeply infused with his longtime passion for jazz-funk and movie soundtracks, this time also injecting more influences from west coast and modern soul music. Andre's backed again by a team of great musicians, recording and producing the album in analog like he always did. As for vocals and lyrics, he teams up with Charlotta Kerbs, a young emerging and talented singer from Helsinki. Andre Solomko, an artist who spreads love like in the good old days. Born in the Ukraine in 1965 and now based in Finland, Solomko is primarily a rich and engaging personality, but above all, a brilliant saxophonist and true musical aesthete whose contagious passion will not leave anyone indifferent. After beginning a meteoric career in the USSR, fate led him to Finland, where after some difficult years, he started Vinyl Jam, a label/studio/group based in Helsinki that resulted in two self-produced albums between 2006 and 2009. These albums captured the attention of some international collectors, including Pascal Rioux, founder of Favorite Recordings, who immediately felt in love with André's style and analogic sound. Rioux offered to produce André's third album, released in 2012 and titled Où es-tu maintenant? (FVR 070LP). Hailed by some renowned amateurs and tastemakers, this third album also met notable success in Japan, thanks to the support of local label P-Vine Records. True to André's passion for film music and '80s jazz-funk, but also to his tradition of always producing and recording his music in analog, Le Polaroid is a continuation of its predecessor and builds a stylized musical kaleidoscope. Surrounded by a team of talented guest musicians such as Alain Mion (Cortex), Mr. Day, and Finnish singer Stiina, Andre Solomko appears at his best, displaying a subtle sense of melody and remarkable ease for composition. Favorite Recordings presents an album from Finland-based band André Solomko & Vinyl Jam. An incredible jazzy vibe comes out of their authentic analog studio, lost in the middle of the peaceful snow. Vinyl Jam is a former record label/studio/band project based in Helsinki. It was founded and is kept rolling by André Solomko, independent producer, composer and saxophonist. With a great early career in his native USSR and in Eastern Europe, André then immigrated to Finland. After a few difficult years, he quickly launched the Vinyl Jam studio. It resulted in two albums self-released between 2006 and 2009, which quickly caught the attention of international jazz and soul diggers, amongst them Favorite Recordings founder, Pascal Rioux. Continuing the "obscure movie soundtrack theme" developed and introduced with the Kino LP, Favorite Recordings is also very proud to announce the release of Où es-tu maintenant?. All six tracks are very much a stylistic kaleidoscope with cinematographic conception. Such an approach makes this album stand out from "club-jazz" idioms, which has become a well-known trademark of André's composing style. Jazz-rock and jazz-funk grooves are combined with the melodic approach of classic European movie soundtracks, which have influenced André's songwriting.
