CADENZA 097EP
Italian DJ and producer Davide Squillace has conjured up some inventive and dancefloor-centric minimal electronic music with this EP for Cadenza. On "Goiania," Squillace opens up a highly musical pot of orchestral stabs and brass hits, morphing bottom-end and freestyle synth licks, cavorting around a steady percussive beat to great effect. On "Blossom," pizzicato synths play a call-and-response with dramatic strings while an electro-tinged drum pattern and sizzling hats lay the foundations of a track with more than a nod to classic house sounds. "Unit 9" closes the release, and Squillace goes on a galactic ride through meteoric bleeps and humongous pads for a cosmic techno number.

DESOLAT 008X-EP
Desolat are proud to present Davide Squillace. "What About The Vice" is an urgent, bouncy, hissing number to take the dancer deep. "On The Road" goes even deeper with scattered drum samples and water-logged toms. "The Other Side Of Bed" goes into overdrive with a cracking snare, house bass line, and ghostly synth pads, while "Cubism" has a jarred, airy vibe, drum mallets, and a metallic, jangling groove. Pressed on pink colored vinyl with artwork by Florian Pohl.

CMYK 011EP
"Davide Squillace joins the CMYKmusik supercalifraligistechno roster with some serious & straight dancefloor affair. Born in Naples, Italy, and located in London and then Barcelona, Davide began soon to show his attitudes for anything resembling techno, with releases for Primate, Audio and Contrast, although thats an old story ... . 'Rosso Pomodoro' is his debut for Alex Under's CMYKmusik record label, with 3 moody and enjoyable pieces of minimal techno that are cooked with snippets of mad frequencies, vocal samplers & dark melodies, a highway where the rhythm takes control and hedonism is the king. Lust and power to the people! Also known as erikOtanabE, Davide Squillace will be releasing more upfront techno slices on Ovum, Resopal. Don't miss the guy, he is a heartbreaker."
